Your parents didn't see it but you saw right through all his plans, once he was married to you not only would he become legal king and stay in this place to not rouse suspicion, but he could easily use this island as an illegal hideout without any trouble.
Nobody on the outside has even heard of this island from how small and bland it was, just a massive desert and three measly towns that didn't even have a marine post in any of them.
It was a question all in itself on how Crocodile got to know this place at all.
Maybe he got the information from Vivi's castle?
She was a dear friend to you and told you all about the civil war and her time with the Strawhats..maybe..just maybe you could get ahold of them to help you out?
You quickly shook that thought out of your mind with a disapproving frown.

"I know exactly why you came here, with a small island like this and marrying me, you will completely take over this place without any disturbances to your illegal plans, but just you know I'll find a way to stop you" you stated.
Crocodile just stood there as his face dusted pink, does he have a fever or something?
With a small frown he faced away from you as he headed towards the door and almost seemed..dejected.
But just before he left he gave you one last look and rumbled very softly, "that's not why I'm here at all"

All thoughts were flushed out of your mind as the doors slowly opened, out of reflex and practice you instantly pulled yourself down the isle.
You made sure to keep a straight face the closer you got to the shichibukai.
It was all so nerve wracking, not knowing what your enemy was up to.
You mostly zoned out during what the priest had to say as a small trail of sweat went down your temple, 'what the heck is he thinking?' Was all you could ask yourself.
"Do you princess (L/N) Lenile (Y/N) take sir Crocodile as your husband?"
Out of reflex you answered without hesitation, "I do"
"Do you sir Crocodile take princess (L/N) Lenile (Y/N) as you're wife?"
"I do" he pleasingly rumbled.
Finally, the moment came, and he surprisingly, eagerly kissed you fully on the lips.
The shock forced your mind out of it's workplace as everything went blank, like you almost didn't exist for an instant.
The thought of harshly shoving him off of you flashed by for a moment, but you let it be.
Now that you were married you had all the time in the world to try to understand this pirate.
