You were an underling and he was a captain..how cliche.

But..at least you met in a unique way, you see he wasn't some guy you were forced to work under in the beginning, nor were the two of you pushed to work together as partners.

No, you first met when you were given the task of saving him believe it or not.

In the past..

The marines were in a huge panic, all officers under the rank of captain have been mysteriously disappearing from base and found a few days later murdered.

Fleet admiral Akainu said that the culprit must have been someone hidden in the ranks and would be eventually snuffed out..but you had the bad feeling that for once he was right, only not in the way many hoped he was.

After someone from G5 was killed, vice admiral Smoker went into a deep rage and ran off seeking to avenge them, everyone knew better than to mess with Smoker's men, except this guy so it seems, miss Tashigi, who was a good friend of yours, told you he ran off with another officer named Koby when she needed someone to speak her worries to.

According to her, he was a very good kid that she had good hopes on and apparently one of his friends named, 'Helemppo' recently went missing as well, which what was pushed him to react this way with the vice admiral.

Honestly, you all expected Smoker to have gotten back soon, he wasn't called the white hunter for nothing, if he couldn't sniff this guy out no one could.

It's been two days since Smoker and Koby left and no body's have shown up either, which for once made people even more stressed out than when they actually did appear.

Everyone was beginning to suspect things and rumors were flying all over the place, Akainu still ordered everyone to say put and ignore everything, the body count, the mourning families, the fact that the heroic Smoker who was idolized by his group has gone of the radar, and some innocent kid...

NOPE, you weren't going to ignore this anymore!

You may be just some regular soldier, but you were one with morals! And ignoring the disappearance of two comrades was something you just couldn't do, especially since Tashigi started to lose even more weight from all the stress placed on her in Smoker's absence.

So with your secret devil fruit powers, you flattened yourself into a paper thin girl and slipped under the many locked doors of the base during nightfall.

You ate the kami kami no mi, a paramecia fruit that lets you turn your body parts into paper, make things out of papier-mache, create living origami and even paper voodoo dolls! (You met Hawkins once in a battle and he gave you the idea)

After sneaking around the base a bit more you finally stumbled across a blocked door labeled, 'RESTRICTED ACCESS'

Knowing very well that you could possibly be executed for this, you took in a deep breath and slipped in despite the small obedient voice in your head that screamed 'NO!'

With your eyes closed tight you hesitantly started to open them but froze at the sight before you.

Right in front of you was vice admiral Smoker and two who you suspected to be Helemppo and Koby all gagged, tied up in sea stone chains together on some wooden chairs and most likely drugged to keep quiet.

"Vice admiral Smoker!" At the sound of your voice he jerked up and the other two stared at you in amazement, almost as if you being there was a thousand miracles in itself.

Rushing towards him you bent down and hastily ripped off their gags and scanned them over for any injuries, "sir! Who did this to you three!? D-don't worry I'll get you guys out of here!"

He remained silent with what seemed to be shock as the pink haired cutie suddenly shouted with anger, "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!!!"

Feeling the color drain from your face you whirled around just in time for the culprit to give you a smack to the face and send you flying to the cold floor with a strangled cough.

"Wow, I never thought that a simple soldier like you could find me out, I'm almost impressed, but I'm not" you painfully looked up and glared at the pirate in disguise.

It all made sense, the killer wasn't a marine, it was none other than Davy Jones, the pirate with a bounty of eighty three million.

"Y-you won't get away with all those deaths" you weakly growled, with a cruel smile he only chuckled and revealed a shiny knife, "oh darling~ I already have~" he purred.

You finally woke up with a gasp and sat up wide eyed with horror read across your face.

"Dear what's wrong?" You whirled your head to the left to see a worried Koby in a light pink tuxedo and surrounded by other worried marine members.

..T-That's right, you were at your wedding.

"What happened?" Suddenly Helemppo started to quietly snicker and finally rasped out, "y-you were about to kiss Koby a-and you fainted before he even d-did anything"

With an embarrassed blush you huffed as a small light bulb flashed in your head, with a sudden smile you yanked Koby to your chest and hotly stole his mouth.

"(Y-Y-Y/N)-SAN!!" Koby's face was the color of roses as he covered his lips and cutely whined while the others either laughed or looked away, "that's what you get for being too hot on our wedding day~"
