"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS NONSENSE?!" Slamming an arm into his desk, Akainu felt the cigar in his mouth snap in half, saw the lit end falling to the floor, rolling somewhere outside his peripheral vision, and seethed before spitting the other half out.

Unfortunately, the den den mushi didn't look disturbed by his outburst at all, "as I said Akainu sir, the world government appreciates all the work that you've done, as such, the higher ups have decided to reward you with a-" "I HEARD WHAT YOU SAID!"

This time the den den mushi winced with a weary smile until the expression abruptly changed as an older, more stern voice left the transponder, "Sakazuki, this is a decision from the Gorosei! Whether you like it or not! You're getting the best fit bride they have!"

Akainu's eyes blazed a magma hue, shoulders steaming up in warning, the anger boiling underneath was threatening to seep out.

"Don't.. DON'T SCREW WITH ME!" Finally, lava began to spill over the desk and burn through the floors, causing few people in the room below to shriek unexpectedly.

"A BRIDE?! WHAT KIND OF NONSENSE IS THIS?! I DON'T NEED SOME WOMAN-" the den den mushi suddenly turned off, causing the admiral to nearly have an aneurysm, out of rage of course.

There was only a moment of silence, it was dead quiet save for the shouts of the unfortunate men below, and it looked like the man was about to explode- quite literally.

But instead, the smoke faded as the lava man collapsed into his seat, arms still trembling but restrained.

"Those old codgers.." he knew huffing and puffing on deaf ears wasn't going to do anymore good, "this is nonsense!"

Glaring hard into the horizon of the sea, the man stared at the ocean he hated so much, the place that harbored nothing but criminals, watched it shine with the sun.

Ironically, no matter how much he hated that sea, staring out into its waves was the only thing that could calm him down over the years.

The sea was a pirates haven, but it also belonged to the navy, whether she liked it or not, the sea was for the both of them.

"Whether she likes it or not..." frowning, Akainu's eyes caught his reflection's movement and focused hard on his features, only furthering the permanent scowl he was seemingly stuck with.

A wife? He snorted, "damn woman better stay out of my way.."

"I SAID NO!" Slamming the door on your father's face, you rushed over to your bed and tried to smother everything out with the sheets as he knocked on the door.

"(Y/N), dear please come out, there's no need to get upset-" "NO NEED?!"

Throwing the closest thing you could grab ahold of, you heard a thud against the door and heard your father jump back meekly.

Glaring hard into the wood door, you felt your resentment sizzle at the sight of the gigantic, ornamental axe lodged into the expensive ebony.

Whereas the handle was laying on the floor- which is to be expected since the axe was made for decoration and never to be actually used, the blade managed to nearly go through the entire door before cracking up.

That thing was an eyesore anyway.

"I am not getting married as some trophy wife! You can't make me! I refuse!" You tuned out most of your father's pleas, having already heard most of them several times.

"(Y/N) this is a huge opportunity for our family! Once you're married to the fleet admiral our connections to the world government and the navy will solidify! We could even ascend-" "oh quit it with this ascending nonsense!"
