I woke up and called James, the other line was ringing and I sighed sitting up. "Hello? Mi amor?" His voice was raspy and I smiled, "James I've been thinking about the moving houses thing." I looked out the window.
"Really, wait, are you going to move in with me?!" He asked excitedly, I smiled and giggled at his childishness.
"Yes, I'm moving in with you," he got up and started running around the house yelling out gibberish. "James are you okay?" I laughed, his steps stopped, "oh right, I forgot I still had you on call." He chuckled in embarrassment, "I'll help you." He insisted.
"Oh no thank you, Sergio knows someone that'll do it." I looked at the door that was about to open, "alright, I love you be safe." I smiled, "I love you too." The like then ended and Marcus, Sergio's son came in jumping on my bed.
"Hey there!" I hugged him and he fell on my lap and giggled. I kissed his cheek, "did you eat breakfast?" He shook his head, "daddy and mommy are in bed with no clothes on." I covered my mouth stopping myself from laughing.
"Marc, I'm sorry you had to see that. How about we go make breakfast for you family?" He looked up at me smiling and stood up excitedly.
We walked down the stairs quietly while he held onto my hands. "Auntie, I heard mommy telling daddy to stop," he looked up at me scared. "Was daddy hitting mommy?" I looked up at the ceiling smiling.
This boy, I feel bad.
"Baby boy, they were just playing a game I'm fond of it." I smiled down at him, he smiled and nodded his head. I got the materials and ingredients ready, "so how is school?" I put the flour in then the next ingredient.
"Bien," he smiled and took plates out onto the table. "That's good," I smiled, "when is tío Hummus coming to visit?" He looked at me, "today probably to move my stuff to his house." I mixed in all the ingredients after putting in the eggs.
"Huh? You're leaving us?" I nodded my head, "but why? Do you hate us?" I gasped and turned around and saw him in tears breaking my heart into two.
"Marcus," I said softly, "I don't hate you guys, I love you guys. Sergio is my big brother and I'm happy to have him by my side to support me. And I'm lucky because I have a little supporter like you. Plus, you'll always see me and your tío James. And I promise to visit you everyday," I smiled and picked him up, kissing his forehead.
"You promise?" I smiled, "I promise." I wiped his tears and he smiled.
"I love you Chloe," he hugged my neck, "I love you too."
*Sergio's POV*
When I woke up to footsteps and Pilar was in the bathroom brushing her teeth. I stretched and walked down the stairs and stopped at the bottom listening to Chloe's and Marcus' talk.
"You're leaving us?" He sounded heartbroken and I just stood there. "But why? Do you hate us?" I peeked into the kitchen and he had tears rolling down his face.
"Marcus," she paused and her soft voice filled the room. "I don't hate you guys, I love you guys. Sergio is my big brother and I'm happy to have him by my side to support me. And I'm lucky I have a little supporter like you. I also promise to visit you everyday?" She picked him up and kissed him.
"You promise?" "I promise."
They exchanged 'I love you's' and I smiled.
"She'll be a great mother one day." I nodded agreeing with Pilar. "Just like you," she smiled and kissed me.
When she walked in the kitchen Marcus ran to her and Chloe said good morning.
There was a knock on the door and I answered it, "what are you doing here?" I shot daggers at the figure at my door.
