Chapter Eight
Sang

Okay, I'm pretty sure that these guys were created in a gene pool where only a selected few get a chance to be made and created. The guy standing behind me is shorter than Silas, but taller than me. He is also huge. Like, wide shoulders, bulging biceps, and his red v-neck t-shirt stretches across his chest and his sculpted stomach. I can see the lines and dips of his abs. It's clear he works out and that he does it a lot. Normally someone this size and muscular would put me off, but the thing is, it suits him. His jeans hang low on his hips, giving me a peak of the black band of his boxers. Wow, he's...

He's attractive, very attractive.

And I'm attracted to him.

How do you ask? Well, as those series blue eyes traveled over me the same way I gave him a full inspection, my whole whole body warmed and came alive. I haven't felt anything like it before, apart from around these guys and only these guys.

I shake my thoughts away and say, "Well, I'm not a part of a team, so I don't think that matters." Use the sass, Sang. Use the sass.

His head tilts to the side and a smirk spreads across his face. "I like you," he declares. He holds out a hand to me. "I'm Nathan, and you are..." he trails off, waiting.

I eye his reddish brown hair, a little longer than the norm and brushing across his forehead and over his ears. His skin, although tanned, is slightly freckled, more so across his nose. His lips are full and pink, with Cupid's bow dip in his top one. I smile and take his hand in mine, and once again, sparks start going off. "I'm Sang, Sang Sorenson."

His eyes widen just slightly, his eyebrows going up. "Rose's granddaughter?" I nod my head and his hand squeezes mine before releasing. He looks over my shoulder. "No one told me that tidbit of info," he says to either Luke or Silas, or both, as if I'm not right here.

I let out a grunt. "I'm right here," I mutter.

Nathan chuckles. "Sorry, it's just, when Luke texted saying he was bringing you, I wasn't expecting to meet the granddaughter."

"You know, this is getting old now," I say. "I know I keep my distance from The Academy, but..." I trail off, unsure of what that is supposed to be.

"You're unexpected, what can we say?" Luke says with a grin. "C'mon, Kota is most likely waiting."

"Where were you?" Silas asks Nathan, as Luke opens the front door and we go inside.

"The store. I ran out of fraps."

I would love to say at that moment that I told him that I love Fraps too, but I'm stunned into silence. The first thing I smell coming into this gorgeous house is the cleanliness of it; I can smell bleach, and air fresheners with a mix of spice, leather, berry, and moss. My eyes scan the hall, noting the wood floors are polished with not a speck of dust in sight.

The walls are painted a neutral beige and the oak wood furnishings really make it feel warm. In front of me is a staircase that leads up to the next level, the hall going in both directions.

To my left is a family room; a large chocolate brown corner unit adorns the centre of the room facing the back wall which has a large TV unit underneath, not giving me the pleasure of seeing what's inside and beyond the doors. A fireplace comes out the wall not far from the sofa, creating two alcoves that are filled with bookcases with books neatly aligned. I want to go over and run my fingers along the spines. By the window is a baby grand piano.

This house can't be lived in by three guys. It's so clean and tidy, no clutter messing the place up at all. Everything has a place.

I turn my head and look into the room opposite the family room. It's a dining room with a large dining room table. There's four chairs on either side down the length and one at each end of the table. In the centre is a bunch of flowers in a crystal vase and on the walls are paintings in oak wood frames. So far, the walls are all the same beige as the entrance of the house, and all the furnishings are the same oak wood.
