27-ya it does suck that you lost me

I wake up and try getting out of bed hoping it was all a dream, but it wasn't. I was in the hospital again. I press the button to call someone in.

"SHES AWAKE!" I hear a woman yell across the hall.

Carter runs to me and wraps me up into a hug and kisses me. "Don't ever leave me again! Oh gosh Embry Ive missed you so darn much! I love you!" There are tears in his eyes.

"I love you too! How long have I been asleep?" I ask.

Carter sits in the arm chair beside me and grabs my hand. "On prom night Faith threw a rock at your chest cause ing you to go unconscious. We took you to the hospital and diagnosed that you were in a coma. Your heart would not be able to function on its own so we decided to put you on a machine. You've been asleep for three months now... They didn't think you would wake up."

Three months?

"Where's mom?" I ask.

"Oh baby girl! I'm so glad you're okay!" I hear my mom say as she runs into the room.

"It's good to see you too Mom!" I say smiling. "Okay, now mMom, don't freak out... When I went to sleep I saw Dad. He wanted me to tell you that he says hi," I tell her.

"Oh My! I'd love to say hello again!" My mother says with tears in her eyes.

"Well you may leave once we get your tubes and needles out of your body ma'am!" A nurse says while walking inside.

Once we arrive at my house again I'm surrounded with hugs from Kameron, Jacob, Naómi, Elise, and Bella.

"I'm so happy to have you back Em!" I hear Jacob say as he and Kameron pull me into a sibling hug.

Next, is Elise and Naómi who wrap me up while crying.

I lean down to pick up Bella and kiss her.

There wasn't very much to do since it was about 11 o'clock so everyone went to bed.

***three days later***

(Graduation)

We all threw our red caps in the air and started yelling and laughing. My classmates and I were officially graduated. This felt great.

Later that night was our graduation party so Elise came home with me to get ready. I had on a cute pair of overalls and a grey tank top under that.
Elise had capris and a cut off.

We did our hair and makeup before putting our converse on and leaving.

"Why do you always wear the shortest shorts?!" Kameron asks me when I walk into the barn where the party is taking place.

"They are mid thigh!" I yell back before feeling a hand on my shoulder.

"Can I please dance with you one last time?" Cauy asks me.

"Sure," I respond. I give Carter a light kiss on the cheek before walking out to the dance floor.

"I'm so sorry for doing all those things to you and leaving you. I lost my best friend and I'm so alone," Cauy says pleadingly.

"Ya it does suck that you lost me," I respond before everything goes quiet.

The song ends and Cauy leans down before saying, "Call me if you need to talk."

The party went on and on with nothing happening at all. Everyone said their goodbyes and got a pamphlet of everyone's names, numbers, and colleges to keep in touch.

I went home that night and saw my mom with a man in the living room. They were laughing over wine. I smiled knowing she was happy.

I got ready for bed, but before pulling my covers on I walked to Jakes room and lay with him. About ten minutes later Kameron walked in and lay on the other side of Jacob.

"I love you Jake. I love you Kam. Goodnight," I said before closing my eyes.

"We love you too," I hear the boys say in unison.
