Today's the day! It's prom!!

I grab my dress from my closet along with my makeup and hair stuff before hearing a knock on my door. "Hey Em!" I hear Keirah say to me.

"Hey kiwi. Here to help me?" I ask hopefully. She nods quickly before pushing me into my rolly-chair.

"Okay so this is what I'm thinking for your hair," she says before showing me a picture of a curled messy bun with her glitterized Bobby pins on her phone.

"Definitely!" I say before handing her my brush. We have 3 hours until Carter's picking me up and that's cutting it short.

"Mind telling me what the cuts on your leg and stomach are?" Keirah asks me.

"So one day at baseball practice Cauy and Faith got together, so Carter and I got together. That night I stayed at Carter's house and Mari and Faith started a group message at 5 a.m. saying that he was cheating on me -which btw he's not- and so I ran out of the house only to be capture by them and right there, in Carter's lawn, Mari held me back and Faith stabbed me twice. Carter saved me by stitching me up and they've been bullying me ever since. They're gonna kill me..." I say trailing away at the end.

"No they won't and stick up for yourself," she says before our conversation ends and all we hear is my music from my speaker.

One hour later Keirah smiles and says "Ta-daaa!!!" I look in the mirror and smile. "Now for makeup!"

I sit for another half an hour waiting for my smokey eyes to be finished. When Keirah turns me back around I'm shocked at

the girl in the mirror. I look beautiful. I slip my dress and silver wedges on before looking at the time.

7:45

I had 15 minutes so I thanked Keirah before walking downstairs and watching Kameron giving Carter a stern talk.

"You'd better protect her and not let them get anywhere near her, Understood?" I hear Kameron's voice demand.

"I understand and I love her so much and I will never break her hea-" Carter stops mid-sentence when he sees me come from my hiding place at the bottom of my staircase.

"Hey Kam!" I say smiling and waving slightly when he turns around.

"Holy crap!!!! It seems like just yesterday I slapped you for putting on moms makeup when we were 9. I miss those days. Gosh, now we're all going to prom and Keirah put the worlds supply of makeup on you!" He says before glaring at my sister who is grinning ever so happily.

I laugh before walking over to a still frozen Carter. "Do you need a rag cause your kinda drooling," I say before wrapping my arms around his waist as kissing he cheek.

"Screw you beautiful," he says while smirking down at me.

"Awww! Y'all are so cute together!!!" I hear Naómi's voice say as she emerges from the kitchen with 5 Oreos in her hand. *face palms*

She's wearing the black no sleeve short dress that I was looking at in the mall with blue pumps and blue eyeshadow.

"Dang you look hot babe," I hear Kameron compliment and she turns red as a beet.

"Enough with the lovey dovey stuff! Lemme take a picture!!" I hear Keirah exclaim.

She wasn't so find of lovey dovey ideals because her husband was in the army and never got to see him. She was soon getting the surprise of her life! *spoiler alert!*

We all stand in front of the fire place as Keirah snaps a picture.

"Oh my! Look how time passes!!!" I hear my mother say from the kitchen.

"A minute to late mom! These kids are going to party!!!" Keirah squeals before handing us our phones.

"Goodbye my baby's!!" I hear my mom say as we exit the house.

Carter stops me before we get into his truck. "Oh my gosh you look beautiful baby," Carter says as he wraps me up in his arms.

"You look sharp yourself!" I exclaim before he crashes his lips into mine. I break this spell within 10 seconds before saying, "let's go have the time of our lives!"
