29-i love you to the moon and back Em

I'm in darkness and then see light!

I was having the dream again.

"Don't worry. I'll never hurt you again. Not after I realized how much you were going through," I hear my dad say. Instead of him slitting my wrists he was wrapping me into a hug. I looked at him and then it was over.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!" My alarm clock screamed.

"Ugh!!!" I yelled into my pillow.

"C'mon it's time to eat and get you to your flight," Carter told me before dragging me out of bed. He was dressed in a fitted Nike© shirt with blue jeans and boots on. His hair was perfectly swooped. I have fallen so hard.

I trudge myself downstairs to eat a pop-tart. Once I finish I take a long, hot shower. I brush my teeth and put my contacts in before heading to my closet in only a towel. I walk out of the bathroom too see Carter laying on my bed playing Angry Birds® on his phone. I run into my closet and lock the door.

"Carter get out please," I say and hear footsteps across the ground. I open the door and see his sitting in my chair facing the wall. I smile and chuckle a little bit. I grab a bra, underwear, and some spandex that I chose from my packed bag before walking back into my closet where I had my outfit for the day on a hanger in the empty space.

I walk back into my bathroom in my PINK! Long sleeve shirt and grey joggers. I apply eyeshadow, concealer, and mascara before blow drying and straightening my hair. I walk back into my closet and grab my only pair of white tennis shoes that were out and slipped them on.

5:45 a.m.

We had to leave now or if miss my flight. "C'mon, let's go Car," I tell Carter while pushing the power button on his phone.

"Fine... Em." Carter hated being called Car and it was funny.

"Goodbye Mom, I love you!" I say giving her a hug. "Bye Jake! Treat Jae right," I said and hugged him for a little longer. "Ew, no," I say when I turn to Kameron but he pulls me in.

"You know you love me Em, I love you too, twin," he says while giving me a long hug.

"Ya, I love you too, twin," I respond before pulling away. Kameron hands me one of his hoodies and Jake hands me a Patriots football hat.

Carter and I sit in silence on our way to the city.

6:30 a.m.

Carter and I arrive at the airport where I'm leaving from in 2 hours. We sit in the waiting area and then my plane is called to board.

"I love you Embry. I'm going to miss you so flipping much," Csrter says while looking into my eyes.

"I love you too. I miss you already, but I've got to go...," I tell him before walking outside. Carter runs outside and grabs my waist and kisses me passionately. When he pulls away we get a round of applause and he puts a piece of paper in my hand before walking away.

I wake up to the plane landing in New York City. I take a taxi to my dorm and unpack my bags. Once I've finished I remember the note that Carter gave me.

Dear Love of my life,
It feels like just yesterday I was introducing myself at my new school. When I looked at you that day the only thing I thought was 'Dang I need her.' I do need you. I know not all long distance relationships work out and that okay because I know I'll see you and your pretty brown/green eyes again someday. Nothing amounts to how much I love you. No one amounts to how amazing you made me feel. So even if we split just know that I will never find a girl like you again. I am going to call, text, FaceTime, snap chap, Instagram, and you name it, I'll have you on it and contact you every day. I love you so much that you don't even know how much this is breaking me on the inside, but I know that we will never forget each other. Until we meet again I will be thinking about you and you'll never leave my mind baby.
