New friends

I looked around at the group that stood before us. There were 11 young men and one girl apart from myself. They all appeared to be around my age. I was discreetly looking at everyone whilst they were all talking amongst themselves. Then I noticed one of the lads looking at me, he raised his eyebrows before stepping towards me, I quickly looked at Chris and Nate whilst a wave of anxiety washed over me. Mentally pulling my big girl pants up, I turned to see the staring guy standing right next to me. I gave him a smile which he returned.

"Who might you be?" He asks in a friendly way.

"Hey I'm Emma" I reply looking at him. He was the tallest one out of the group he had dark hair that fell messily in his green eyes. He had broad shoulders and was wearing a Nike tracksuit that fitted him like a second skin.

"Levi, this is my new neighbour, she's moved in across from me" Chris explained.

Nate stepped forward and draped his arm back across my shoulders, I immediately felt myself relax again. "yeah Levs, this is Emma, she's new around here so we offered to show her round a bit. She doesn't know anyone so I said she can hang with us. She's a badass and cute. I think she's gonna fit in just fine" He finishes with his smirk.

"Is that right" Levi laughs "someone's got a crush" he says ruffling Nate's hair.

I groan internally. Looking at my feet and praying to God I wasn't blushing. When I looked up I noticed that everyone was looking at me. Well this is awkward. Silence fell over the group before a guy at the back clears his throat and says "Levi we're off, let me know about Jax, I'll see you in the next few days, give me a shout if you need anything".

"Yeah ok Tobs. In a bit" Levi says looking at Tobs as him and 4 of the guys walk off in a different direction. I turn back to the now smaller group in front of me. This is more like it I think to myself. I know Nate and Chris and now Levi, that just leaves 3 guys and the girl who I now see is smiling widely as she heads towards me.

"Hey Emma, I'm Tiani but you can call me T, everyone else does. Levi here is my cousin and this is Mikey, Phil and Lee." She says while pointing to the 3 who's names I don't know. "I'm so glad there's a new girl about, except for Jess I'm the only girl trying to keep up with this lot and their crazy antics" she laughs. Levi sticks his finger up at her and we laugh together. Levi and the guys start chatting amongst themselves, T motions me over to a nearby bench.

"Sooooooo she says, tell me all about yourself, I need to get to know my new bestie" she says hopefully, whist wiggling her eyebrows like a crazy person.

I plop down on the bench next to her and laugh at her hopeful expression. Looking at her I notice that she does indeed look like Levi, she has long dark hair in two plaits on the side of her head and the same green eyes as him. She's dressed in similar clothes to me and has her nose pierced. Noticing me staring instead of talking she wiggles her eyebrows again. "Your funny T" I say "The position for bff in my current location is actually empty, looks like you may have just earned the role! What do you want to know? Ask away?"

"Yay" she cheers. "So how old are you? Where are you from? How did you come across these goons? Do you have a boyfriend/girlfriend? What do u think of the guys?. Hmmmm I think that will do for now"

Chuckling I reply " I'm 16. I've just moved here today from East Sussex. I met Chris when he came to my rescue when I tried to light my fag without a lighter" I laugh " Nate came along looking for Chris and basically forced his friendship on me, I thought he would kidnap me if I didn't agree to come with them" I snort "not that I'm complaining, I'm really pleased actually. I'm straight and no boyfriend. As for the guys, they all seem nice but I've only just met them".
