Cameron's POV

Cameron.

I jolt up in bed, my wolf restless and angry. My head snaps to the right, in search of my mate. I growl when I find an empty space besides me, where my mate should of been. Her scent was still strong, meaning she didn't leave too long ago. I reach out through the mate bond, only to feel nothing. I growl yet again, my wolf raging for control. My mate had called for me. I could feel the panic in her voice. I pause for a second, knowing I was wasting valuable time. But this was needed. I need to get my wolf under control, other wise he will be tearing anything he sees in his sight apart until he has his mate back in his arms. I finally get him to stop struggling and I rush out of the room, mind linking my father.

'Get the trackers and warriors up. My mate is missing.' I say through the mind link. I knew I just woke my father up, but I could care less at the moment. All I could think about was the absence of my mate.

I follow my mates scent until I arrive at the edge of the forest. My father comes rushing to me with two trackers and five pack warriors. All of their eyes were glowing, no doubt mine was as well. I knew their wolf didn't like that their Queen, their Luna, was missing. "What happened?" My father asks. "I woke up to find her missing and I can't feel her through the mate bond." I say simply, continuing to follow the scent. It was a much too familiar scene for my liking. Her scent leads me close to the east border where I find three other scents. I snarl, furious. They were rogues, I could smell it. Their scents were strong here, telling me they were here not too long ago. I follow the scents, with the eight behind me.

"I recognise one of the scents." I hear. I turn around so fast, that even my father was startled. "Who is it?" I ask, my voice similar to a growl. One of the trackers answer. "Z-zac, Alpha." He stutters. My wolf goes out of control at his answer and we shift. I growl, menacingly.

I should of killed him when I had the chance.

I snarl and turn back around. Right now, my mate needed me. I follow her scent until I'm at the edge of the east border. If I took another step, I would cross it. Meaning, I would be in another Packs territory. If I were any other wolf, crossing over their border would mean war with whatever pack I am in. Since I'm a Royal, it shouldn't matter.

I cross the border, with my father demanding me to come back. Obviously, I didn't listen. I follow my mates scent until I start seeing buildings. The others did not follow me. I hear growling from my right and turn to see three wolves running to me. I snarl at them, making them whimper. Their wolves instantly recognises me as a Royal. They lay on their stomach, their ears flat. They were showing me that they won't be of any harm. I growl at them one more time, before following my mates scent ones again. I weaved through trees and logs, doing whatever to find my mate. After a minute of that, her scent suddenly stops, along with the other threes. I growl out in frustration.

This could not be happening. Not again.

I snarl at nothing, blinded by my rage. I destroy a fallen log and attack a tree. After I had managed to calm down some what, I look at my mess. The forest surrounding me was completely and utterly destroyed. I didn't care though and I ran back to Shadow Moon Packs territory. The eight, including my father, were still where I left them. They looked at me warily and expectantly. I just brushed past them, making my way to the Pack House. I heard a small groan and thudded footsteps, telling me they were following. I shift back and enter the Pack House. I head to my fathers office, but stop when I see my mum in the dining room, sitting on a chair. She had many pairs of basketball shorts on the table. Her head snaps up and she gives me a worried look. She hurriedly stands up, handing me a pair of shorts. I put them on, my wolf nagging me to continue, not at all bothered by our nudity.

"Are you okay, honey?" She asks me as my father, the trackers and warriors enter the room. I growl in frustration.

Do I look like I'm alright?

I don't answer, rushing to my fathers office. I didn't mean to be rude to my mother, but my mate needed me and we were wasting valuable time. By now, most of the people living in the Pack House were awake and were exiting their rooms, seeing what all the commotion was about. Not a minute later, everyone who was in this office yesterday morning, was seated.

Except my mate.

My wolf whines at this, desperate to find his mate. My wolf didn't usually whine. "What is going on?" The beta, Joseph, asks. I would have answered, but I could only let out a growl. I could barely keep myself still in the chair. My father, after giving me a wary look, answers for me. "His mate, our Luna, has been taken from us." He says, sorrow evident in his tone. I let out a low growl at the reminder. I couldn't help it. My mate was somewhere out there, without me. She could be hurt. I didn't want to imagine all the things that could possibly be happening to her. All I knew was that I didn't know where my mate was and that needed to change. Everyone in the room looked at me warily and I had to restrain myself from snapping at them. That would not do me any good.

"We need to schedule a meeting with the Alpha of the pack I went into. There is obviously something going on in that land and he has to know something about it." I say, my voice much deeper than usual. There was no doubt my eyes were glowing too. "He would be a lousy Alpha if he didn't." Logan mutters under his breath. With all of us being werewolves, we obviously heard and I couldn't help but internally agree with him. "I will organise it in the morning." My father says. "What do we do in the meantime?" One of the Pack warriors asks. "We will try tracking down our Luna's scent again. There were three more with her. One was a former pack member, Zac." My father says, before I could even open my mouth. At the mention of the betrayal, growls rang out into the room, mine being the loudest.

"That mongrel." Logan growls, looking as if he were about to attack something. More growls of agreement were given, before I had had enough. We were wasting time. "Enough!" I shout over the growling. In an instant, the room was silent, the only sounds being the ones outside this room. I give out orders, the room emptying in seconds. There was only my father and I left in the room. He gets out of his seat, resting a hand on my shoulder and giving it a reassuring squeeze. "We will find her, son." He says.

There was no doubt about that.
