♕ Arianna' POV ♕
I blink, Skylar's words ringing in my head.
She is my sister.
Everybody stared at the said girl, mouth hung open and eyes wide. Skylar shrank back, taking a step back. I couldn't help but feel bad.
"Why wasn't she with you?" Gabriel asks, breaking the tension filled silence. Sky's eyes widen, looking as if she were caught doing something wrong. "I uh- I had no choice." She whispers, horror stricken. I hated seeing her like this. It reminded me of when she first arrived. "What do you mean by that?" I ask softly, trying to show her that we won't harm her. "The ah- The Royal Rogue, he had found us. He forced me to come here and if I didn't, he would- he would hurt her." She says, whispering the last part.
My eyes go wide and I'm sure my expression resembled one of horror. Megan had gasped. "That's horrible." Anastasia says, clutching her bulging belly protectively. Isaac pulls her closer. "Why did The Rogue want you to come here? What did he want from you?" Cameron asks.
Sky edges back to the door with the tension in the room increasing by the second. Now most had their eyes narrowed at the girl. She opens her mouth, her answer so low that I could barely here it.
"I was his eyes."
The whole room was in an uproar.
People were yelling. People were making their way to her, lunging. People were glaring. People were loosing their trust in a certain person.
I had had enough and I made sure to let them all know.
"Enough!" I yell, louder than I had ever yelled before. In the process, my wolf returned, having felt her Luna instincts. My command dripped with alpha power and everyone stopped what they were doing, even Cameron. Though he stopped not because of my command, but because he felt my wolf.
Our mate bond snapped back in place, love washing over me. My mate steps away from the young girl and rushes to my side. I sigh, content with the feel of my mates arms around me as he hugs me to his body. My wolf growls, wanting to take over but she understood that I needed to be in control for this particular situation. I regretfully let go of him, struggling in his hold.
Cameron, let me go.
No.
Come on, move.
He does move, but only to have me sit on his lap with my back pressed against his chest. I don't complain or argue, knowing that this was the best that I would get. Besides, my wolf yearned for her mates touch.
"Get away from Skylar." I order, narrowing my eyes at Logan who was the closest to her. They all move after a second of hesitation which irked my wolf. My eyes sweep around the room. Everyone's head was down in a slight bow besides Ian who looked around in absolute confusion. "Were you guys seriously going to hurt a child?" I question, furious. Nobody answered which made me even more angry. "All of you, except Skylar, leave." I order. One by one, they file out. I take off any wires that are on me with Cameron's help. Sky just stood there, looking as if she would rather be anywhere else than here.
"Have a seat." I say, motioning to the chair. She scrambles to the chair, her head down. She takes a seat, sinking into it to create as much distance between us. "What did you tell him?" I calmly ask. "I uh- I told him about how you had gone into the forest by yourself that- that night." She whispers.
I didn't need to ask which night she was talking about. I knew exactly which one.
Cameron grew tense behind me and I had to lean more into him to some what calm him down.
Relax.
It's all her fault.
She had no choice.
I don't care.
I ignore him. "What else did you tell him?" I ask. "I told him about the uh- the war. I told him abo- about how someone had placed a note tha- that had your whereabouts on it." She answers, her voice trembling. I wouldn't be surprised if she started crying. I hated seeing her like this, even if she was helping the enemy. Besides, it's not like she had a choice.
I sigh, running a hand through my hair. "Okay okay. Go to your room. If anyone tries to hurt you, just yell out my name." I say, nodding towards the door. I didn't want to deal with this situation now. I just got my wolf back for Goddess sake and I was still in a hospital bed. Skylar nods her head frantically and dashes out of the room.
I rub my face with the sole of my hand, leaning into my mate. I was exhausted.
"Come on. Let's get you out of here." My mate says and with that, I had some time to feel some what normal.

My mate and I return to our room, having just gone out for a run in our wolf forms. I had on a robe while Cameron wore a pair of basketball shorts. "I'm going to go take a shower." I mumble and enter the bathroom.
I bathe in the hot water, loving the feel of it on my skin. I haven't had a shower like this in ages. I scrub my body and my hair. I finish my shower and exit it, the need for my mate strong. I wipe my body with my towel and put on some sweatpants with Cameron's grey shirt. I get out of the bathroom, meeting the sight of my mate sitting on his chair. He had a new set of clothing and his hair was damp.
"How are you already showered?" I ask, walking closer to him. He swivels the chair in my direction and pats his lap. "I used the guest bathroom." He answers when I take a seat on his lap, straddling him. I hum in acknowledgment, nodding, and I drape my arms around his shoulders. Cameron pulls me closer and my fingers absentmindedly play with his hair. My mind then drifts to the recent events happening in my life, instantly creating a frown on my face.
"What are we going to do about Skylar?" I ask. I was worried about her. I know what she did was wrong but she barely had a choice. I know that if I were to ever be in that position, I would do the same in a heartbeat. Besides, she's barely fourteen. She's still only a child.
"What do you want to do about Skylar?" My mate asks me, quirking up an eyebrow. I couldn't help but find that small action hot. But before my mind can drift to certain places, I shake my head, clearing the thoughts.
Not now, Arianna.
I focus back on my mate and don't fail to notice the broad smirk set on his perfect lips. I huff slightly, rolling my eyes. I knew he had caught onto my train of thought. "When is the time then?" He asks, his smirk now gone and his head tilted. I sigh heavily. "I don't know, Cameron. I want to sort everything out right now." I answer honestly, a frown on my face.
"You're too selfless for your own good." He says, sounding some what bitter. I offer the slightest of smiles, "I can't help it." He nods and pulls me so I'm flush against him, resting his forehead against mine. Our breaths mingled together and the atmosphere around us was calm. "Why don't you think about you for a change. What do you want?" My mate asks and it doesn't take much thought to answer him.
"You."
In an instant, our lips met. Passion grew. Hearts raced. Heat increased. I lost myself in the kiss and let go of my worries.
