"We will be facing a war that can not be stopped. We need to unite as one and still be standing in victory." Gabriel's voice booms across the grassy plain. All pack members over sixteen were stood listening to their Alpha. The air seeped with apprehension.

"Everyone, besides pregnant females, are permitted to join this war. All men over sixteen have to participate in this war and for the females, it is your choice wether or not you want to." He continues. I agreed with what he said. I was glad that he wasn't sexist and didn't let the women fight.

Determined women could do a lot of damage if they wanted to.

"Training will start today and everyone will participate. That is all." He finishes and the crowd disperses, bursting into hushed voices.

I sigh, thinking of the impending war. I knew it wasn't far in the future. I could feel it.

My eyes fall onto my mate and my father in law as they converse. I could hear every word thanks to my werewolf hearing. Landon and the warriors had safely arrived and now they are waiting to speak with the Alpha of the pack.

Thank Goddess they're okay.

"Can you believe it?"

I turn to see my twin as she gave me a worried look. She held her bulging stomach protectively with her mate by her side. "Believe what?" I ask, walking over to them. "War. Can you believe that that mutt is starting a war." She says, spitting out the word mutt. I knew exactly who she was talking about.

The Royal Rogue.

I roll my eyes despite my inner fear. "What did you expect? He's The Royal Rogue." I say. "He can go shove a-" before my twin can finish her sentence, Isaac interrupts. "Now now now mate. You shouldn't be talking like that." He says teasingly. Anastasia just scoffs.

I sense my mate near so I turn to see him walking towards us. When he arrives, he wraps his arm around my waist and I basically melt into his side. Cameron gives me a small kiss. "Princess, I have to go help with setting up for the training." He says and I have to refrain myself from pouting. Instead, I nod. He then looks at Isaac. "I'm going to need your help." He says. You can tell that Isaac was hesitant to leave his pregnant mate so I step out of my mates arms and wrap my own around Anastasia's shoulders. I give Isaac a nod and a smile, letting him know that I would keep her safe.

That seems to work and both my mate and Isaac make their way across the grassy field. "Come on." Anastasia says, "I'm hungry." I snort. "You're always hungry." I say, rolling my eyes. She shrugs as we walk back to the Pack House. "Touché" she agrees.

We make our way to the kitchen and I spot a familiar figure along the way.

Nick.

He was seated on the dining table with another male. As soon as he sees us, well particularly me, he tenses. His upper body stands up straighter and he avoids any eye contact with me. I don't really know wether or not I should be happy or sad about this. Happy; so I don't have to worry about my mate snapping his head. Sad; he may or may not be afraid and I don't like that.

I tear my eyes away from Nick, shrugging it off. When we arrive in the kitchen, I'm greeted by the sight of baked goods. I have to hold Anastasia back from eating them on the spot. "Anastasia" I hiss, "you can't eat any. They aren't for you." She huffs like a four year old, still eyeing the food with hunger.

Placed on the counter were cupcakes. Lots of them.

Terry walks in, looking surprised to see the two of us. I promptly let go of my twins arm and offer the woman a smile. "How are you, Terry?" I ask. She now looked even more surprised. "I'm good, yourself Luna?" She says after a second. "I'm well thank you." I answer, offering a small smile.
