A/N: a bit of violence in here so beware and it's a short chapter.
♛ Cameron's POV ♛
My breathing was ragged, the only giveaway that I had just fought a war. I look over all of the fallen warriors, relieved to find that none of them is mine. We had just won the war between Late Moon Pack. They barely had over fifty warriors while we had just below one hundred. Their warriors were poorly trained and because of that, they were easily taken down. The air was thick, from both the loss and the thick precipitation.
We had won the war, but it didn't feel like it.
The forest floor was littered with bodies everywhere. In most places, the grass was red because of the spilt blood. My warriors stood still, examining the damage as well. We were all still nude, revealing their injuries. Some were injured, most only had a few cuts here and there. None were lost. The wind starts picking up, the metallic smell of blood becoming much stronger. My eyes fall onto the fallen Alpha.
Flashback
I hear running from behind me and turn to see a brown wolf with light brown patches. It bounds towards me, radiating power. Alpha power. It took me less than a second to realise that it was Alpha Sean. I snarl at his wolf, my four paws pounding on the forest floor. I meet Sean half way and I tackle him with ease. I place one of my paws on his throat, putting pressure on it. I growl in his face and Sean snarls in response. This only angered my wolf more. I go to bite his throat, intending to kill, but he brings one of his paws to my face and he slashes his claws at me. I leap off him, dodging his paw just in time.
My failed kill only angered both my wolf and I further. Sean is on all fours again and I snarl, earning one from him in return. I leap forward, surprising him, and slash at his face. I move away from him as he roars in pain. Blood pours from the three open wounds on his face. As he's distracted with the pain, I leap again, this time biting into one of his hind legs. He yelps in pain, but I don't stop there. I reach for his head, narrowly missing his paw, and I bite off his ear.
Blood goes everywhere.
Sean pants, his body heaving. He was a weak fighter. Very weak, especially for an Alpha. To my right, I hear pounding feet. I turn just in time to see a reddish orange coloured wolf, it tackling me. I was under him and that infuriated me. I snarl, throwing him off me with ease. I quickly realised the wolf was Tony, one of Late Moon Pack's best fighters. I slash at his exposed throat as he attempts to tackle me again. This causes Tony to fall to the side, yelping. I stalk over to him, impatient to finish this war. Tony tries to stand up, his eyes watching me with fear. I ignore the look and bite into his already damaged throat, ripping it out.
It was an instant kill.
I turn back to the place where I last saw Sean. He was nowhere to be found. I growl in aggravation. This was taking way too long. My eyes travel around, looking for the missing Alpha. I saw most of the Late Moon Pack down with my warriors fighting the few members left. My eyes also caught onto an interesting sight.
A brown wolfs head with a missing ear.
The coward was hiding.
The wolfs head was now hidden by some forest foliage. I had only seen him for a second but a second was all I needed. I bound over there, hearing his heartbeat quicken. This made my wolf feel very smug with himself. I run over to the other side of the forest bush, the Alpha appearing. He growls when he sees me and in return, I leap. My mouth latches onto his neck, snapping it.
Flashback Over
"Alpha, what do we do now?"
I look up, my eyes finding all of my warriors eyes trained on me. "Take all these bodies back to the Pack." I order and they do so. I planned to have a proper funeral for all of them. I pick up the fallen Alpha and start walking back to the packs land. My warriors follow behind me.
<><><>
"Many have fallen and they shall be honoured. There is not much we can do and for that, I am sorry." I say, my voice and face emotionless. I didn't know what to say. I mean, what do you say for something like this?
I step away from the podium and step off the makeshift stage. It was the day after the war and I had organised a funeral for each and every fallen wolf, even the Alpha. They were still family to those who decided not to fight.
The funeral was held on the Late Moon Pack's land. Many graves were dug and there were many coffins. Too many.
My princess would hate this.
Many speeches were said and eventually, I didn't see any more coffins. They were all six feet under, literally.

I UPDATED!!!! FINALLY!!!!
Anywho, this chapter is less than a thousand words. I'm soooo sorry for that. The average words is around two thousand so this is the shortest chapter on here. Sorry again. And sorry for the lateness of this. It's been forever. Anywho, tell me what you think. I always wanna know.
A bit of a darker chapter but there's always darkness.
Take care my lovelies x
