Cameron's POV

I make my way back to the Shadow Moon Pack's land. The funeral has finished and so most follow behind me. Some decided to stay longer to mourn their loved ones. I tug on the sleeve of my dress shirt and fold it up so it exposes some of my forearm. I run my hands through my hair as I walk onto the packs land. I make my way to the Pack House and am bombarded by a very pregnant Anastasia with her mate hastily following behind. Her baby bump is a lot more prominent and she only has around two and a half months left.

She gives me a solemn look, patting my shoulder. "How did it go?" She asks as Isaac wraps an arm around her waist. As my eyes catch onto the gesture, my wolf whimpers within and I couldn't help but frown. I should be holding my mate just like that. She should be with me and at my side. I blink when I hear Anastasia's voice. "You're thinking about her, aren't you?" She asks me. I only stare at her, not having it within me to verbally answer.

I mentally let out a bitter chuckle. What have I become? The king of all werewolves not being able to answer a question.

My eyes turn to Isaac's and he offers me a weak smile. "We'll find her man." He says reassuringly. My jaw tightens.

"I will find her. I will die finding her."

Arianna' POV

I jolt up awake with the sound of the door being slammed shut. The sound rings in my ear, making me wince and I clench my eyes shut. I groan, my throat aching. In the midst of my half asleep state, I hear someone gruffly shout, "wake up!"

I breathe out through my nose, not being able to keep the irritation away. I slowly open my eyes, glaring at the dark figure in front of me. His piercing blue eyes stare back at me, shooting daggers with them. There was no light in the room, telling me that it was some time during the night. My eyes slowly adjust and I can slightly make out the rest of the mans features. I'm surprised to see that it's Zac. My eyebrows rise and my eyes slightly widen.

I haven't seen him in a while.

"Where is she?" He asks, his voice sharp and laced with anger. My eyebrows furrow and I couldn't keep the confusion off my face. "Wha-" I start but start coughing. My throat burns as if lava has been put in it and I can't help but wince as another cough racks my body. A growl leaves Zac's mouth, coming from deep within his chest. I watch as frustration clouds over his piercing eyes before he stands up in one fluid motion. He leaves the room without another word or sound.

I cock my head to the side. Well that was interesting.

I take a deep breath and decide to just ignore what just happened. It hurt to think. I close my eyes and rest my head back onto the wall behind me. It was quiet but the quietness didn't last long as I hear the door open and close again. My eyes open, not surprised to see Zac's brooding form. But I was surprised to see a water bottle in his hand.

He strides over to me, crouching down. He unscrews the lid, it making that satisfying click noise. I blink as he shoves the bottle in my face and onto my mouth.

What in the world is he doing?

I wasn't complaining though. I open my mouth and drink the water greedily. I'm disappointed to say the least when Zac takes the water away, screwing the lid back on.

The bottle is half empty. Or is it half full?

"Where is she?" Zac repeats his previous question. I raise an eyebrow. "Where is who?" I ask, really confused as to who he was talking about. I mean, why would I know anyway? I've been trapped in this stupid room for Goddess knows how long.
