♛ Cameron's POV ♛
I pace back and forth, waiting for it to be eight. I am going to meet Shawn, the Alpha of Late Moon Pack, the pack where my mates scent lead to. My father had arranged the meeting yesterday. Unfortunately, I couldn't meet with Shawn any earlier. If my wolf had his way, he would be there in no time, demanding the whereabouts of our mate. But there was no doubt going to be destruction along the way. It would be a massacre. Of course I wouldn't hurt anyone intentionally, but my wolf would only see the people as obstacles in the way to finding his mate.
And what do you do with obstacles? You remove them.
That is why I had to wait to organise this meeting. I knew my princess would not like that. Not like that at all. My Royal instincts were strong, but my mate instincts are much stronger.
I feel a hand on my shoulder and turn to see my father. "What do you plan on doing with Alpha Shawn?" He asks me which makes Joseph and Landon turn their attention to me, waiting for my answer. "Question him." I say simply and continue pacing. After many agonising minutes, it was five to eight. "Let's go." I say to the three. They were the only one coming with me. I didn't need anyone else.
We make our way to the forest, shifting quickly and holding our clothes in our mouths. We make it to to the east border in no time. We shift, throwing our clothes on. We cross the border and are greeted by two males. The one to my left had orange hair, freckles littering his face. They gave him an innocent look but his eyes told another story. They held only coldness. The one next to him had dark skin with black hair. His eyes were the same shade as his hair but wasn't as cold as the person besides him. He radiated power and I recognised it to be a betas.
"Welcome Alpha." The beta says, bowing his head. "Welcome to the Late Moon Pack." He then says to the three behind me. "I am beta William. This is Tony, one of our best pack warriors."
I nod in acknowledgment. My wolf was restless and only wanted to speak with the Alpha for questioning. "Alpha Shawn is waiting for you back at the Pack House." He finally says and then turns around after a final smile. He leads us through the forest in which I had ran through earlier. We make it there in no time. Anyone near stops what they are doing and either bow their head or just stare. The stares didn't bother me though, my wolf didn't care and I was used to them by now.
Beta William opens the front door of the Pack House and we enter in a line with Tony at the back. We are lead through many hallways and I don't even bother taking in the detail. I was here for my mate, and for my mate only. She was the only thing on my mind, putting both my wolf and I in pain with her absence.
Soon we walk into what appears to be an office. Seated behind a big mahogany desk was who I presumed is Alpha Shawn. He had salt and pepper hair and grey eyes. He had a stress line in between his eyebrows. He looked to be in his early forties, meaning he was quite the old wolf.
At the sight of us, he smiles which creates slight crinkles in the corner of his eyes. He stands up as we walk further into the room. There were four fabric chairs in front of the desk. I walk up to Shawn and he extends his arm out to me. I take his hand into my own and shake it once. Before I let it go though, I give it a tight squeeze in warning.
I was going to get answers from this alpha.
Shawn tries to cover up his grimace but I see it, giving my wolf the slightest bit of satisfaction. I let go, giving him a pointed look. I take a seat on the middle chair to my right. My father was on my left with Landon seated besides him. Joseph sat to my right while the beta and Tony stood, leaning against the wall.
"It is an honour to have you here." Alpha Shawn says, then looks at my father and his beta and gamma. "All of you." He adds. My wolf growls, not wanting the small talk. The only talk we should be doing was about my mate and her whereabouts. So I got right to the point.
