It's been a few days since we had received the good news about Landon and the other pack agreeing to join. We've all been training relentlessly. Well besides me and Anastasia. Even Victoria and Sierra are training. Anastasia obviously couldn't fight due to the pup she was holding but for me, I had no valid excuse.
Because my mate said no isn't exactly the best answer.
Every time I would bring the subject up with Cameron, he would always somehow change the subject. That wolf had too much power over me.
Landon and his newly found mate, June, along with the four warriors were coming back today. To say I was excited would be an understatement. It was about time Landon found his mate. Now it was Joseph's turn.
I had made sure that Sierra, Victoria and my twin were with me today. I knew they would help me make June comfortable. I feel if we were to have both Serena's and Victoria's bubbly personalities, June could feel a lot more at home.
So as of right now, we were waiting for their arrival and let me tell you, they were taking forever.
"Vic, calm down." Sierra says, patting Victoria's shoulder. Instead, she does the complete opposite. She squeals, making us all wince. "My ears." Anastasia whines and I silently agree, a slight grimace on my face. She gives us all a sheepish smile. "Sorry." She says and Damien wraps his arm around her shoulders, bringing her closer to him. Gabriel chuckles.
"But I mean, come on, how are you guys not excited?" Victoria says from under her mates arm. "We are excited. We are just a lot more subtle than you." Anastasia says. My eyes fall onto Joseph who was leaning against the wall, an amused expression on his face. "It's your turn next." I say to him, making his eyes snap to me. "Me?" He asks, pointing a finger at his chest.
Anastasia snorts. "Nah. She was talking to the wall."
I let out a laugh but quickly conceal it with a cough. I knew most people in the room did the same thing. "What? Do you guys all need a glass of water?" He asks us mockingly. "Actually, I would love some water." Logan steps in. All eyes then turn to Joseph as we awaited his response.
"Go get it yourself."
I chuckle. "You heard the man, Logan." I say. "How about this." Anastasia starts, holding her hands up. Before she can go any further with telling her idea, Victoria squeals.
"They're coming! Listen." She all but screeches. We all do listen, despite our ringing eardrums, and we hear the sound of cars. Two of them. Victoria is the first to move, rushing out of the Pack House to greet our newcomer. I follow right after with the sound of everyone else behind me. When I step out of the Pack House, my eyes are drawn to a small but cute yellow car.
Behind the car was the car from our pack.
They must of had to take an extra car for June. Not to mention, she had to bring some bags.
The two cars stop in front of Victoria who stood eagerly awaiting. I go to stand next to her, everyone else around us. The breeze in the air was cool and it drifted around me. The passenger door of the yellow car opens, instantly drawing my eyes attention.
Out steps out who I presumed to be June. With her big round eyes that were a bright blue and her small button nose, she would be considered beautiful in an innocent way. Her naturally red lips were thin but fit perfectly on her face. With my werewolf sight, I could see a little bit of freckles sprinkled on her nose. A human would have to be looking very intently to see it. Her light brown hair appeared golden in the suns rays and it was left out in small waves. I could tell the waves were natural.
It was quiet for a second before Victoria squeals. It took us all by surprise. I could tell that June was startled. Victoria swiftly walks over to her with a massive grin on her face and wraps her arms around her.
