"Alright, this is going to sting a little, okay?" I ask the boy in front of me. He hesitantly nods and I slowly and carefully rub the cleaning alcohol into his graze. He winces, but makes no move to pull away. "Well done." I say once I finished.

I was at the Pack infirmary, helping out with the little injuries. The boy in front of me, Jayden, had scraped his knee while running on concrete. He was only eleven years old. "Try not to run on concrete." I tell him as he jumps off the cot. He nods and says, "yes Luna." I smile at him, ruffling his hair. "Alright, you can go now." I say and watch as he jogs off to his mother who stood in the doorway. Jayden's mum hugs him and then smiles at me. "Thank you, Luna." She says. "No need to thank me." I say and she bows her head before leaving, glancing at her Gamma who was standing near the door. I exit the room as well and find Mary, the Pack doctor looking over some documents.

"Mary." I call our to her as I walk up to her. She looks up and smiles when she sees it me. "How can I help you, Luna?" She asks, putting the paper down. "I just wanted to know if I could leave now, unless you need me to do something." I say. I didn't want to disrespect her by not asking her and just leaving. I may be the Queen but that doesn't mean all manners fly out the window. She was the Pack doctor and she deserved some respect. "No, that's okay. But thank you for helping me today, Luna." Mary says, bowing her head. "Of course." I say, smiling, "I'll be off then. Goodbye Mary." I walk away with a small wave and she gives her own wave back. I exit the Pack infirmary with Landon besides me. He has gotten more comfortable with me since he was first appointed with protecting me. That was a week ago.

"Tell me about yourself." I say, glancing at him. I wanted to know who this Gamma is. "What do you want to know?" He asks, glancing around. I smile and wave at a few children as I answer, "anything. Your favourite colour, if you have a mate, favourite food. All that kind of stuff." Landon thinks about it for a second. "Well, my favourite colour is forest green, I don't have a mate and my favourite food is meat." He answers before asking me a question, "where are we going?" I smile apologetically at him. I hated how he always had to go everywhere I go. Cameron is always at Pack meetings, working on strategies and how to protect us all better. "we are going to the Pack House. I wanted to see how Sky is doing. I hope you don't mind." I answer. I see Landon shrug from the corner of my eyes, "I don't. Where you go, I go." I don't say anything, just smile.

What was I supposed to say?

We make it to the Pack House and Landon opens the door for me. I smile in thanks and we walk to Skylar's room. I hear shuffling inside so I know she's in there. I knock on the door twice and take a small step back after. I hear ruffling of clothes and sheets and then I hear her footsteps. In seconds, I see Sky's peeping face. When she sees it's me, she opens the door wider, offering me a smile. "Luna." She says in surprise and then her eyes fall onto Landon. "Gamma." She greets, bowing her head at the two of us. "Uh, would you like to come in?" She offers us and I smile, nodding. She steps aside and we walk in. Her room had a double bed against the wall to my right and had a small desk apposite it. The desk had a chair in front of it that had the wheels on.

My favourite type of chair.

There was a window in front of me that looked out to the forest. The walls were a creme earthy colour, just like the rest of the Pack House. Sky's room was clean and it didn't look like a teenager was living in it. "I'm sorry I do not have many seating places." She apologies, her eyes roaming around the room. I smile at her, shaking my head. "You do not need to apologise. This is your room, not a sitting area." I say and Sky gives me a small but grateful smile. She takes a seat on the bed and motions for me to sit on the desk chair. She looks at Landon apologetically, "I'm sorry I don't have another chair, Gamma. Would you like for me to get you another chair?" She asks. Landon shakes his head and politely says, "it's alright. Besides, I would rather stand." Sky nods, accepting it.
