Cameron's POV

I sat in the planning room, waiting for everyone to arrive. The planning room was a room where we worked out strategies and plans for the pack. It held a large oval table with not much else in it besides chairs. It was the day after I had found out that my father was okay so now I can get back to finding my mate. My father had woken up earlier and I had seen him. He seemed fine which I thanked the Moon Goddess for.

Shawn hadn't given me any answers about my mate and I knew for a fact that he did have them. He was keeping them from me and that only made my anger so much more worse. I don't know what I am going to do but I will figure it out. I have to. That is the reason behind this small meeting that I had called for not even a minute ago.

My head snaps up when the door opens and Isaac walks in, followed by his mate. It was hard looking at Anastasia. She looked so stressed out. It couldn't be good for her baby. There was a small bump showing on her stomach. She was only a month or so pregnant. One of the main reasons why I can't look at her is because she looks so much like my mate. It just reminds me that mine isn't with me. It made my wolf whimper.

Isaac gives me a nod of acknowledgement and guides Anastasia into a seat. They both didn't say anything, knowing it would be useless. We've had these meetings enough times to know that no information is given until everyone is present. Besides, I don't even think they want to talk to me. I'm not exactly the best person to have a conversation with right now. I'm sure I would just snap at them.

Logan and Sierra walk in seconds after, taking a seat. Sierra offers me the smallest of a smile, but it did not reach her eyes. I don't even bother trying to return it because I know it will only look like a grimace. Logan gives me a simple nod which I mange to return.

After a good three minutes, everyone is here. I sat at the end of the table with Joseph on my right and Landon on my left. Logan and Sierra sat next to Joseph with Anastasia and Isaac besides them. Damien and Victoria on Landon's left. Sally and Luke sat besides them. I didn't ask my mum to come because I know she wants to be with her mate. Joseph has been in charge of the Pack ever since my father has been in the infirmary. There were also some of the best warriors of the pack present.

"We all know why I have called this meeting." I start. "My father, Joseph, Landon and I had gone to the Late Moon Pack for answers on the whereabouts of my mate, your Luna. Shawn, the Alpha of the pack, didn't give me any information but I know he has them. A rogue shot my father with a silver bullet before I could get anything out of him. Fortunately, my father is okay and is in a stable condition. He is recovering well." I explain.

The room was silent so I go on. "Do any of you have suggestions in finding my mate?" I ask. I need their help, yes, but there was no way that I was going to admit it. The room goes silent once again, each in thought. "What if we go to war with the Late Moon Pack?" Nick, one of the pack warriors, suggest. "What, we just walk into their territory and attack?" Landon asks incredulously. Before Nick can say anything though, Joseph interrupts. "No, that may not be such a bad idea." He says then turns to me. "You can mind link Shawn and threaten him. If he doesn't give you information then we go to war." He says.

I consider this idea. It still had many flaws in the plan but we could work on that. "What about his pack members? Just because the Alpha is corrupt doesn't mean they are." Anastasia says, worry evident in her tone. The room was silent yet again, not knowing the answer to that, but I did. "I will arrange a pack meeting for the Late Moon Pack and give them a choice. Whether they want to fight with their Alpha or not." I say, making all their heads turn to me. A few nod, thinking the idea over. "So if they don't want to fight then where would they go?" Logan asks.

Very good point.

"How big is the Late Moon Pack?" I ask. "It's a small pack. Only with around one hundred members, including children." Landon answers. "How much room do we have in the pack?" I ask Joseph. "There are three empty houses in the north side, two in the west and three in the east, all with at least five bed rooms. They should be able to hold forty people at least." He replies instantly. I nod, satisfied with the answer. "We can move all the people who don't want to fight here and they can stay until everything settles down in the Late Moon Pack." I say to the group then turn to Joseph. "What do you think about that?" I ask him. He was leading the pack right now and it was his decision. His eyes fall onto the table as he thinks it over. All eyes were on him. Eventually, he nods and looks up. "That can work. We'll have to have a pack meeting to explain what is going on. We'll also have to train our warriors even harder." Joseph says, his Beta instincts coming out.

I nod, turning to face everyone. "Do we all agree to this plan?" I ask and everyone nods in affirmation. "I'm going to mind link Shawn now." I inform them. I imagine how he looks and just him in general. In no time, I feel when my mind connects with his. "Alpha Shawn." I send to him. "This is The King, isn't it?" Shawn's voice drifts to my mind. "It is." I respond and he doesn't say anything. "If you do not give me information on the whereabouts of my mate, I will declare war." I state, getting right to the point. "You wouldn't harm the innocent." He says matter of factly. My wolf didn't like his tone and neither did I. "The ones who side with you are not innocent." I say. After a slight pause, he says, "I don't know where your mate is." Even when I'm not face to face with him, I could still sense the lie. "You have put your pack in danger. Be ready for a war." I say and cut the mind link off before he can say anything.

My attention turns back to the ones in front of me. "He refused to give me information." I state and many expressions of anger, frustration and irritation cross their faces. "Idiot." Logan mutters.

"There's something I don't understand though." Sierra says unexpectedly and we all turn our attention to her. "The Royal Rogue is behind all of this, right?" She says and a few nod. I cock my head to the side.

Where is she going with this?

"If he's behind all this, then what does Alpha Shawn have to do with this? Why would he go against his Luna? What does he have to gain?" She says, her eyebrows furrowed in thought. My own eyebrows rise. I had never thought of that.

What does he have to gain?

My wolf snarls within, all of this frustrating him. He didn't like the fact that we have a plan and yet we weren't doing anything. I look up, agreeing with my wolf. "We can not dwell on the answers we do not have. We have to thrive on the answers we do have. It may not be much, but we have something. We will get the answers, but we won't get them just sitting here." I say and looks of determination cross their faces. "Joseph, organise the pack meeting for this afternoon at four and Landon, explain everything to the pack warriors." I order and they both bow their head a little and walk out. "The rest of you are dismissed." I say and look down at the table. I listened to the rustle of clothing and footsteps leaving the room, it filling the silence of my mind. The noise stops, leaving two heart beats left. I look up to find Anastasia, who was still seated, staring back at me.

"Can I help you with something, Anastasia?" I ask and she blinks. "No, but I think I can help you." She says, her eyes meeting mine. I raise an eyebrow. "Why would I need help?" I ask her. She huffs and rolls her eyes. "You don't need to lock yourself up, Cameron. You can talk to me." She says, her voice taking a gentle tone. "What are you talking about?" I ask her, but I already knew. "I know you know what I'm talking about." She says. I refrain from sighing in frustration. "Where is your mate?" I ask her. She shakes her head, standing up. "You aren't the only one hurting, Cameron. I know she's your mate, but she is my twin. Arianna and I came from the same egg, split in half. I've known her all my life plus nine months. We are all hurting." She sighs. "Just don't shut yourself off. I know for a fact that you've barely gotten any sleep. We will get her back, Cameron. You need to take care of yourself in order to help save her" She says, walking to the door. I watch as she opens the door but pauses before going out.

"Have faith, Cameron. It can move mountains if you let it."
