This is a long one, and probs more of a filler. I'm sorry if the second part gets confusing, it's based off the Killjoy comics I guess.

Tanith's POV

I wake up in Dallon's spare room with a dull headache and a blocked nose, completely covered in sweat. My eyes still sting slightly from old tears. I push all the covers of me quickly, hoping to cool down as soon as possible. But as soon as I'd done that, I shivered from the cold.

Oh, this is just perfect.

I get up and decide to put up with the shivers. I trudge downstairs and find Dallon on his laptop at the counter. He stops whatever he was doing as soon as I walk in. "Good morning Tan." He says with a smile, getting out of his seat and walking over to give me a hug.

"How are you doing?" He asks as we pull away.
"I'm okay." I say mindlessly as I grab myself a glass of water. I take a seat beside the giraffe man and try to stop the shivers and goosebumps.

"You don't look okay." He remarks. "Oh my god why are you shaking? Children aren't supposed to shake like that!" I smile at him numbly. Dallon never fails to make me smile.

He puts his hand to my forehead and waits a moment before removing it. "You've got one hell of a temperature, Tan." He sighs, rummaging around in his medicine cupboard.
He gives me a couple of different pills and refills my water, assuring me that they would help. I take them without saying anything more. My throat hurts far too much for that.

The two of us retreat to his couch, as I curl up in a ball on one end. He sits beside me with a small sigh. "You wanna tell me what happened last night?"

I just shrug. "I don't know, Dall. We had a fight and I couldn't be there anymore."

"You know that my home is always open to you, Tan. It's like the bestie code or something. I'll be here to look after you, even if no one else is, but you've gotta face Brendon eventually."

I groan loudly and let my head flop back into the soft material.

He chuckles quietly and ruffles my already messy hair. "It's all gonna work out, Tan. I promise you. Now what did that idiot do this time?"

I wipe the sleep from my eyes as I readjust my position. "You know how I'm drumming for My Chem right now?" He nods in comfirmation. "Well I told him that I would be out all day to work on the record, and totally lost it when I came home. He grounded me for two weeks and said that I couldn't drum anymore."

Dallon gives me a sympathetic look and pulls me into a hug. "Did he tell you to be home by a certain time?"
I shake my head. "He claimed he told me to be home by six, but he didn't. And now everything's fucked up."

He pulls away from the hug and helps me lie down, fetching a blanket from the other room and carefully laying it over me. "The worlds fucked, but we keep on living anyway. Get some rest, okay Tan?"

I nod sleepily and he presses a kiss to the top of my head before walking into the kitchen, leaving Lilo and Stitch playing on the tv.

I make a mental note to thank Dallon later for making me feel loved in the worst of times, before closing my eyes and letting sleep take hold.

"Man, I fucked up Dall."

"No shit. She's sick as a dog right now, so if your gonna focus on Jenny instead of her again, come back later. She's your daughter, Brendon. She should always come first."
