Fin's POV

"Hey Fin." Pete smiled as I re-entered our home. "How was band?"

It was impossible to keep the smile off my face. "We finished it. We finished Danger Days."

"You did it!" Pete grinned at me and pulled me into a hug. "I'm so proud of you!"

"Thanks." I laugh. He lets go and smiles some more.

"You did it, Fin. You did it."

I play with my hands a little. "I guess I did."

"You wanna do anything to celebrate?" He asks.

I shake my head. "Gerard and Tan wanna throw me a party for reaching a million subscribers. I'm gonna make it about Danger Days, too." He accepts my answer with a nod, messing up my hair as I head upstairs.

I sit on my bed and grab my bass from the stand, slinging the strap over my shoulder and playing a couple of tunes without the hookups, loving the feel and the vibe of the Squire Jaguar. My phone vibrates, causing me to stop playing. I pick it up and unlock it.

Tan: slight change of plans

Fin: ??

Tan: party's happening tonight

Fin: why?

Tan: idk ask G

Tan: he was insistent

Fin: okay. what time?

Tan: come at like seven

Fin: you got it

Tan: i gtg,we're being yelled at by the store manager

Fin: what why don't get kicked out pls don't get kicked out

There was no response, so I drop my phone back on my bed and plug in my bass. I set up a backing track on my laptop. For the next hour or two, that's all I did. I played the bass lines to all my favorite songs, and I played them loud. Pete didn't come up and tell me to turn it off, and I just had some 'me' time for a little while.

It reminds me of that amazing day at Reading. The show was sensational, and the meet and greet was awesome. But I think my favorite part was learning to play bass with Zack as Alex and Rian cheered me on. I still send them snapchats all the time, and they promise they'll visit as soon as they can, but it's just not like that anymore.

With everything going on right now it makes me a little nostalgic and maybe a little sad. I love the album and the story we created, and I love working with My Chem, but I miss the tour and the late nights on the road and being around everyone all the time. I miss the late nights and being around people who love and support me all the time. I even miss the agonizing wait time backstage before the show.

But I'm excited to see what the future holds. And I'm excited for the world to hear Danger Days and see the art I worked so hard on. I'm excited for the tour, and I'm excited to hang out with whoevers  gonna be at the party. I'm full of mixed emotions, but playing my bass lets me stop and think for a little while.

When I came downstairs, I feel refreshed.

"You're getting pretty good at that." Pete smiles proudly.

"Thanks." I say, my cheeks reddening a little bit. "It's just fun to play I guess."

"It's more fun with an audience." Pete advises. "I heard your school was having a talent contest. You should give it a look."
