Gerald Goose needed a new roommate. He had planned on asking Terry Turtle, but Terry had just moved in with Robert Rabbit, so it was Too late now. Sally Swan came along and said, "Why don't you Ask Hayley Mills to be your roommate? But Gerald had had famous movie stars for roommates before, and had always been required to stay up overnight, going over their lines with them. So he said, "no, Not Hayley, by the way — never Hayley, not for a second; not even Walker." Nancy Walker had also been Gerald Goose's roommate in the 1970s, and it had been just as bad, and he had actually married her. He went on "so and not my marriage; and not my brother and ..." He went on to list all the roommates he'd had. Sally soon realized that Gerald had been roommates with everyone on Earth, at one time or another. Most people didn't remember it, because Gerald had been so horrible to live with, that they'd blocked it out of their memories.
