Our school was a really big school.. and since it was next to a river, it usually used that as an advantage
I looked back and saw all my team mates
They all waved including Addy and Amber.. Next to me was Nick
I look to my left and see the entire audience.. they were all with cameras.. proud parents everywhere
Looking to my right, I see Nick smiling at me.. I roll my eyes at him
- We got this - he said
I nodded and put on my vest.. I hope we do..
Inone of the other canoes was Selena and John who had very strong arms.. and then there were many other people from different ages, including Joe, who was a few canoes after Selena
He was quite shocked when he found me next to Nick and I told him I was in his team
He kissed his fist and gave me a peace sign with a smile and I chuckled
I loved the guy..
Nick quickly came in front of me and smiled - Hey.. you're going backwards or frontwards?
I shrugged - Whatever you want
He nodded and got in the canoe - Frontwards for ya then
I rolled my eyes and got inside
I was feeling awkward for being teaming up with Nick.. I looked to my side slightly and saw Joe making a funny face at me, which made me laugh hard

- Hey Demi, - Nick shouted while I still laughed, making me open my eyes - goodluck! - he smiled winking
I took a deep breath - goodluck..
Nick nodded and we got on our marks. The bell rang and we started moving quickly.. me and Nick were a great team.. I knew that.. but we stood no chance against the canoes from the older guys who were both a male..
It was really really tight but we ended up in third, which was pretty good considering that there were 36 canoes against us

Demi and I ended up in third, which pleased me..
As we were getting out of the water, Joe got closer..
he ended up in 7th..
- Hey let me help ya - he told Demi reaching out to her
I wasn't feeling the canoe turning as Demi stood up and pressed the side of it with her foot, because when I gave for myself, I was turning with it and falling to the water
