Days passed by and everything went back to almost normal.. at first Demi wouldn't let me kiss her.. that was what she meant with slow.. but after a few days I made her give in
I was extra careful.. I made sure to treat her like a queen.. I had a new phone but it hardly had contacts.. I mostly used to talk to her..
We went on a trip on July 1st to California so it was an entire day stuck in a car.. a road trip.. Demi and I went together in my mom's car with my parents and Joe while her parents took Maddie and Frankie
The car drive was peaceful since we woke up way too early.. Everyone was either half asleep or sleeping.. there was a point where Joe fell asleep to the window and Demi fell asleep on my shoulder so I had no other option but to sleep too
Curiously, none of our parents said a thing or questioned if me and Demi were dating..
We reached a gas station and everyone woke up to walk out and stretch our legs

We were in the middle of nowhere just chilling, sitting by a tree.. Maddie and Frankie were bugging Demi and Joe while I drank water and tried to cool of since the weather was starting to get way too warm
Our moms brought food and we had a small picnic by the tree. My mom was sitting in the car watching out for Maddie and Frankie who were eating on the back seat in the shade.. I was against the tree with Joe while Demi was across from us in a rock next to her mom
Both our fathers were standing and talking with each other
We always had funny conversations in family when we were on vacations..
I picked up my phone and saw the time and then put it back in my pocket. I looked up at Demi and she smiled taking a bite of her sandwich
Frankie then spilled orange juice everywhere and my mom got mad, ruining the mood
My little brother was a big mess.. he was really clumsy all the time which was adorable.. but sometimes was nothing but a mood killer
We got back inside the car and went the entire trip singing songs and shouting
Then mine and Demi's song came on and we started screaming "Man I feel Like a Woman" at the top of out lungs, having the best time ever
Joe started mocking me and joking around while Demi sarcastically answered him from time to time
My mom was laughing and talking with my father.. I loved family trips.. specially when it included Demi's family
