Chapter 10:

Brendan was in the doorway, and then in front of me within a second. Veins started to show under his eyes, and his canine teeth grew about an inch longer. The hairs along my neck stood up just looking at him. The veins went away, and then his canine teeth turned back to normal. He sat down next to me on the couch. I got up and sat on the island. I looked at him, and the place he sat had no one sitting in it anymore. I looked next to me, and screamed.

"Brendan PLEASE stop playing with my head!!!" I scrambled upstairs to my room, I opened my door, only to find him already there.

How?!

"But Love, it is so fun to play with your mind." He smirked at me.

"Brendan. What. Are. You?" He raced downstairs, and I followed him as fast as I could. I saw him sitting on the couch, so I sat on a stool.

"Are you sure, my name is Brendan?" He eyed me, and an even bigger grin was placed on his face. I looked at him, mind boggled.

"Ok. Fine." He laughed a little bit. "Do you believe in vampires?" 

"Yeah.. I guess." I repositioned myself, and moved a little farther away from him. I looked at him, and he pulled a wig off his head.

"What the...?" I watched him. Brown hair erupted from his blonde wig.

"You have been wearing a wig the whole time?.."

"Yup. So, you believe in vampires love?" He eyed me, with his brown eyes.

"Yes. I already told you that." I shifted uncomfortably.

"Ok I was ju-" 

"You mentioned earlier about your name NOT being Brendan?.."

"Oh, you remember that?."

"Yes. Of course. I liked you. I thought your name was Brendan. If it isn't, I would like to know that please." He stared at me, and I stared back at him. He broke the stare and began to speak again.

"Ok, fine. My name is actually Kol Mikaelson. I'm an original vampire. One of the first ones to start the vampire line. Annabeth, my sister, her name isn't really Annabeth, it is Rebekah. I also have 3 brothers. Klaus, Elijah, and Finn. Finn and Elijah are probably in a box though, if NiKlaus daggered them..." My mouth dropped open. I started laughing uncontrollably.

"Wait, do you mean Klaus Mikaelson, like... Maya's BOYFRIEND?"

"Yes."

"Ok. Well...You? HA. A VAMPIRE? HAHHAHAA" I continued laughing at him, but then looked up. He was in front of me, veins showing, and his canine teeth went back to the "vampire" teeth.

"Hehe.. Hehe.. Hehhe?" I stopped laughing.

"You think I'm joking? I came here to get away from Mystic Falls. Well, more like from Klaus. He wants me daggered." His eyes locked with mine, and I could tell he wasn't lying.

"Why didn't you tell me the truth.." 

"Because.." He broke the stare and started pacing. "I didn't know if I could trust you, and when I saw you were hurt because Julia kissed me, I knew I could trust you." He paused and turned around to look at me. After a second, he was in front of me. I looked up at him, because I was 5'3, and he was probably about 6'1.

"I can trust you... Right?" He stared down at me, and I stared up at him.

"Yeah. Your secret is safe with me.." 

I heard the lock in the front door turning, and I whispered to Kol.

"My room. Now." He ran up the stairs in a flash, literally.

Man I hope he has super hearing, or I'm doomed..

"Kol. Listen to me. Do not make a sound. Please..." I whispered. 

The door opened, and my mom walked in with Axel, practically attached to her. I crossed my arms, and glared at Axel.

"Oh.. Aqua... Heh.. I didn't know you were home."

I raised an eyebrow at her. "You know I always come home after school."

"Ok. Sorry honey.. It slipped my mind."

Kol's POV

I listened to there conversation, trying to be quiet like Aqua told me. Drifting off from the conversation, I started thinking about her.

I haven't been in love in over 500 years, and somehow... She has wiggled into my heart..

I snapped back to their conversation, and heard someone hit  someone else. It sounded like a man hitting a woman. My hands molded into fists, just thinking:

If Axel laid a hand on Aqua..

"AXEL" A woman screamed, I guessed it was Aqua's mom, because the voice was a little squeakier than Aqua's. I heard feet scrambling up the stairs. I looked around quickly for a place to hide.

Closet? Ok, I don't care. I will just compel the person to forget I was here..

I went into her closet, hoping no one would find me. I listened to see if I could hear anything to find out what happened, and to who. 

"911? Yes, please come quick!-"

I heard more footsteps, and ran out to see what was going on. I peeked through Aqua's bedroom door. Axel was carrying a bat, and heading to what I thought was Aqua's mother's room. Franticly, I looked around.

"Yes. I'm 5555555555555555 (< because if I put something else it might be someone's address, and I don't want that to happen x'D) Maple Street. Come quick, it looks like Aqua might not be here for long if you don't help her!!"

I clenched my fists, and in a flash I was behind Axel. I grabbed his bat, and knocked him out.

***At the hospital***

(Still Kol's POV)

I looked at Aqua, all stringed up to machines. At least I didn't have to worry, because I compelled Aqua's mom to make her believe I was Aqua's best friend. I looked outside of the room, where Aqua's mom and the doctor were talking. I heard the fluttering of something, and looked at Aqua. I was relieved to see it was her eyes opening.

Aqua's POV

My eyes fluttered to life, and I saw Kol next to me.

"Kol?..." He watched every move I made.

"Yeah?" I felt something on my hand, and looked. It was Kol's hand. I looked back at him, and smiled.

"I forgive you.."

He looked at me. "What do you mean."

"For compelling Julia to kiss you.." I looked at him and smirked. He looked away, and I noticed him starting to smirk to. He looked back at me, with a plain face though. 

"You didn't think I wouldn't figure it out, did you?" I laughed a little bit. He looked up, and I saw he started to look like he was getting worried. I continued laughing, though. He looked at me, and within a second, his lips were against mine. He pulled away and looked up at a chart.

"Good thing that shut you up." He smirked at me, and I blushed at him, trying to hide it.

"Goodnight Aqua."

"Goodni-" He was already gone.

"Goodnight Kol..." I whispered, closing my eyes, as I drifted off to sleep.

Sorry em. I changed the story line, but WHATEVERRR X'DDD I SAW THE CHANCE AND I TOOK IT :) Thank you guys for over 120 views!!!!  This took me a while to write, but I continued... x'D 1172 words ppl.
