April's boyfriend's name is Travis, right? I'm too lazy to look for it, but I'm pretty sure it's Travis. If it's not, then oops. cx
Chapter 17
Nolan
"I don't want to go," I said.
"Please?"
"No."
"Come on, it will be fun."
I raised an eyebrow. "Fun? Do you not know me? I hate crowded places."
"Come on, babe, I don't want to go alone."
"Ryder and Mae are going."
"Yes, but they're going to be all over each other and I don't want to third wheel. Please?"
I sighed, knowing that Jerome was not going to stop until I agreed to go to the party with him. I didn't really want to go, but I really needed to start getting out of my house and Jerome's apartment more.
"Alright, fine," I said. "On one condition. We don't stay too late. I don't want to be there longer than I want to."
"Fair enough," Jerome said before taking my hand and pulling me out of the apartment.
"Wait, now?" I asked.
"Yes, now," Jerome said. "The party already started, so we've got to get going. You're lucky I actually have my own car because Ryder and Mae already left."
When we walked out of the apartment and after he locked the door, we went to the parking lot and to his. It took him so long to find one he could afford and now that he had one, it was going to be a lot easier for us to go to places. Normally, he would have to take Ryder's car if we wanted to go out, but it became a problem when Ryder already had plans.
Jerome drove to the house where the party was taking place. As soon as we got inside, Ryder looked at us. "No way," Ryder said. "Why would you bring my brother to a party?"
"What? Like you didn't go partying at his age?" Jerome asked.
"No, I actually didn't," Ryder said. "The first time I went was when I was seventeen."
"Well, boo hoo, that's you and this is him," Jerome said. "I didn't want to come alone, and I also didn't want to third wheel, so...."
"Fine, but if he so much as goes near alcohol, I'll personally kill you," Ryder said.
"Relax, Ryder," I said. "I don't even want to drink anyway. I only promised Jerome I'd be hear for a bit."
"Good," Ryder said before giving Jerome the 'I'm watching you' sign. Mae rolled her eyes and pulled Ryder away.
Jerome took my hand in his and led me to the kitchen to get a drink. Jerome reached into the cooler and pulled out a bottle of lemonade for me. "Ooh, fancy," I said.
He then grabbed some alcohol for himself.
"Really?" I asked.
"What? I'm eighteen."
"You do know that eighteen isn't the legal drinking age, right?"
"It is in Quebec."
"But we live in Florida."
"But I was born in Quebec."
"That....that's not how it works, Jerome."
"Well, if the cops come, I'll just pretend I'm uneducated when it comes to the legal drinking age and I thought it depended where we're born."
