"Please tell me I didn't do anything stupid!"
Lena groaned the next day, after her hangover finally receded.
"Well you made out with me on the dance floor and later the night tried to get me to...uhm...bed you though we didn't because I swear that's the same thing as fucking Rape for one and for two.....I have more class than that!"
Yulia responded, noticing the blush on her girlfriend's face.
"Girls...I am sitting right here. I do not want to know about your sex lives."
Ivan sighed, blushing slightly much to Yulia's amusement.
"You're just jealous...." Yulia began, only to be elbowed in the ribs by Lena.
"Stop."
"Thank God tomorrow is monday and you two brats will be out of my hair!"
Ivan muttered.
"What hair? You keep yours buzzed." Yulia retorted, earning a look.
"Really mature Yulia."
Her guardian responded, trying to hide his smirk as he finished his coffee.
"Well I have a certain....Waitress....I need to make an appearance before if I don't want to play twenty questions all day. Last thing I want is it getting back to Lena's parents that I am some kind of pervert."
"Why don't you just fire her and get it over with?"
Yulia retorted, earning a look.
"I need a full time waitress Yuls. Tell you what, find me an replacement and I'll think about it."
"You know Karina has been looking for a job but with both K and Aly working there would be no one to take care of the kid."
Lena stated, earning a look.
"Let me talk to someone....I think I might be able to talk someone into helping them out. I'll be back to drive you home, trust me you do not want to drive after a hang over, you'll spend more time trying to not be motion sick!"
Yulia walked downstairs only to be met with yelling and cursing.
"You would take up for that little whore! I bet you're fucking the other one as well!"
the shrill voice of Agnes exclaimed.
"she is not a whore Agnes and I don't know why the hell you are so jealous of my God-daughter to began with!"
Yulia chose that moment to step out.
"What the hell are you going off about now? Lena is my girlfriend....I don't even like men and I defiantly am not gonna date a man old enough to be my Dad."
She stated, earning a look.
"As if you didn't sleep around with a twenty year old when you were only fourteen!"
Agnes stated, earning a snort.
"Tammy was nineteen and that is different. That was what? five years difference? Hell, at least I don't fucking spread my legs to anything with a dick!"
Yulia yelled.
Ivan sighed as she glanced over at the girl and shook his head.
"Yuls...Go cool down."
"No! I am not going to let this bitch run over me!"
Yulia stated, earning a sigh.
"I'm not asking you to, I'm saying let me handle it."
Ivan responded as he lightly pushed her toward the door.
"Is that all you're going to...You're going to take that little....."
Agnes didn't have time to say anything else because Ivan cut her off.
"Agnes, go home and don't bother showing back up here again. You have been at Yulia's throat since she came here and frankly I am sick of it....Been sick of it a long time but I needed the help but not so much as letting you degrade her like that!"
Yulia was surprised by this, though she couldn't help but retreat behind him at the look that Agnes sent her.
"You would chose that little dyke over me?"
She asked, voice low and dangerous.
"That dyke happens to be my family and that means more than some half witted tramp that is jealous of a child."
Ivan sighed once the woman had stormed out, turning toward Yulia who seemed interested in the floor.
"You shouldn't have done that." She stated, earning a sigh.
"Yulia....Just hush. I am not going to let people walk all-over you like that."
Ivan stated calmly, putting a hand on the young girl's shoulder, noticing the flinch.
What is it that has you so jittery? Why do you flinch every time I touch you?
He wondered as he saw her try to avoid his gaze.
"I'm use to it."
Ivan sighed once more and shook his head.
"You shouldn't be. You don't deserve it!"
Ivan stated, earning a look from the girl, one that clearly said bullshit.
He knew he had to give up for now, let the girl have her way though he would talk to her about this later.
Why does she let people talk to her any which way? Why does she believe the things they say about her?
He wondered.
"I really have to go make a phone call...can this wait 'til later?"
She asked, her voice frail...so much like how she had sounded a year prior.
"Of course, go."
Ivan sighed as Lena came downstairs, her brow furrowed with worry.
"I heard that racket. Is Yulia okay?"
She asked, earning a sigh.
"No...I don't know what exactly Agnes said or did...But it bothered Yulia...Badly. I just wish she wouldn't hide so damn much from me....I want to help her."
Ivan sighed, sinking down onto a bar stool.
"Talk to her Ivan, she's just afraid....He life before was anything but easy."
Lena responded, earning a groan.
"Do I even want to know what that bitch did to her?"
He asked, earning a sigh.
"Probably not. She only will tell me so much but you've known her longer."
Lena responded, earning a sigh.
"I hope you're right Lena. I hope you're right."
