[25] AGAIN
GAIL'S POV
"Kyra Gwen Rivera..."
I looked down on the tombstone as Jade said her name. Until now, the pain is still there.
I heaved a sigh and kneeled infront of the tombstone. I touched it softly as though I'm touching her for real. I smiled a little, a cold smile indeed. "I'm not married."
"Eh yung dad niya po?" She paused, bothered by what she asked. "I'm sorry po. Masyado na akong madaldal."
"Yung Dad niya?" I faked a laugh as I removed the bunch of flowers on its side. I bet someone just went recently here, based on the flowers' freshness. "Wala na... Patay na yung Dad ni Kyra."
I lied... He's not dead. I just wanted him dead.
"Oh, sorry to hear that, Miss Gail."
I stared again on it with a fiercest smile I could ever have. "He's dead, not literally though. I just killed him in my thoughts... and in my life. So, don't you dare ask me about that a-ss for I already removed him in my life since Kyra passed away."
From the airport, I decided to go straight at the Memorial Park where Kyra is. The moment I landed my feet in the Philippines, it feels nostalgic. It brings back all the memories I had in the past. I am not ready to return yet but I had to, for I commited myself to this fvcking endorsements.
That what I heard from Jade after an hour or so of staying here in the memorial park. I want to stay here longer... Ayoko munang iwan si Baby Kyra.
"Miss Gail..."
"What did he say?"
"Tell him that I'm not going home. We're gonna check in a hotel."
Jade's job is to obey what I say. She follows what I want. She does what I tell her to do.
I cut her words off. "I know, I know. Just tell him that I want to be alone. I don't want to entertain visitors." Dad knows what I desire for sure. Nah, I don't want to talk to them yet. Reasons? I can't enumerate my reasons. Basta, ayoko lang silang harapin.
"Take care daw po, Miss Gail," Jade said while putting my phone back in her pocket. I got my own phone though. One is for personal use, and the other one is for work purposes. "Hindi pa po ba tayo uuwi?"
"Jade, you can go home to tomorrow if you want."
She looked to me, bewildered. "Miss Gail...?"
I smiled blankly, still staring at the tombstone. "Go home and relax. You've had enough of the stress, I supposed."
"O-okay lang po... Trabaho ko yun."
I got up and so did she.
