[71.1] IT'S BACK

GAIL'S POV

"Ma'am, pinapatawag po kayo ni Sir Travis. Sa garden po."

Nahampas ko ang laptop sa kandungan ko. Kanina ko pa 'to sinusubukang ikonekta sa wifi pero kahit anong gawin ko ay walang nangyayari. Hindi ko alam kung sira ba ang wifi router o sadyang iniba lang ang password!

"Ma'am," tawag ulit sa akin ng maid.

"Bakit ayaw kumonekta sa wifi!?" pagalit kong tanong. Kanina pa ako nafufrustrate dito dahil gusto kong kamustahin si Kurt kay Kaye Anne!

"Iniba po kasi yung password."

I threw a dark look at her. "Now, what's the password?"

Umiling siya at lumapit pa ng dalawang hakbang. "Kailangan niyo na pong puntahan si Sir Travis sa garden. Naghihintay na po siya dun."

I rolled my eyes and shifted back on the laptop. They must have changed the password for me to get rid of contacting everyone about Kurt. What else would they do to me? Darnit!

"Ma'am..."

"Get out!" sigaw ko at humiga nalang sa kama. 

"Pero---"

"I SAID GET OUT!!"

Kasabay ng pagsarado ng pinto ay ang pangingilid ng mga luha ko. Napatulala nalang ako sa sulok at inaalala na naman si Kurt. Thank God he's safe. Sana lang ay makapag-usap na kami, dahil gusto ko nang matapos ang lahat ng 'to. Gusto ko nang makawala kay Fifth ngayong nalaman kong pinaglalaruan niya lang ako.

Napapahid ako sa mga mata ko nang marinig ko ang dahan-dahang pagbukas ng pinto. Sumunod nalang na narinig ko ay ang boses ni Fifth.

"Crystal..."

I gritted my teeth in anger. Ang kapal ng mukha niyang humarap sa akin at pumasok sa kwarto ko pagkatapos nang nalaman ko tungkol sa kanya.

Sigh...

Dahil sa sobrang tahimik ng kwarto ko ay narinig ko pati ang pagbuntong-hininga niya.

"I... I'm sorry."

My tears started to fall down my cheeks as I controlled myself to break a sob from my chest. I'm really sick of this...

"I'm sorry. I really didn't wanna do this... I swear. Sh1t," his voice sounded of frustration but I shuddered away from the thought. Pumunta siya sa direksyon ko at umupo sa harapan ko, sa gilid ng kama. "Crystal, hindi ko talaga 'to ginusto."

He reached for my hand but I pulled away. He then tried to wipe my tears off, but I slapped his hands.

"'W...wag mo akong hahawakan!"

"Listen, I didn't want this to happen. I was only asked to do this deal. I honestly didn't have any idea about our parents' load of crap. I was just dragged into this sh1t and all I did was to do my job or else, your family will end up losing all what you have strived!"

My heart stopped, and then broke into a sprint. A cold sweat dewed on the back of my neck and my hands turned to ice. 

"A...anong ibig mong sabihin?"

He sighed and managed to lower his voice to a whisper. "Your dad has been sued by my parents for stealing a large budget from the company."

"P..pa'no yun nangyari? Hindi magagawa ni Daddy yun!" I said, managing to speak more clearly with tremble.

"He invested in our company yet eventually, we found out about it and I'm sorry about this, but we gathered a lot of evidences," he paused momentarily and eyed me sincerely. "He did not want anyone to know about this, so we agreed to not publicized it. However, my dad still thought of ways to get everything fixed and then, something popped in his mind. He's seen you on ads and knew you're a good person, so he asked your dad if you could marry his son and that happened to be me."
