Chapter 2

I was walking a long the halls of the normandy getting a tour from the Jacob Taylor himself, " so this the crew deck where Miranda's office is, the med bay, the gunnery control room, the bathrooms, the star board lounge, the rooms for the crew and the life support but I think you already know all about the Normandy SR2... Am I right?" he said with a smirk plastered on his face. This man knows me well... I sighed " Yah I know about the Normandy I was there when she was being constructed took a lot of time though.. estimated time was about a year and a half but looks like they took more than that just to make sure this baby does not get torn up like the last one did." I say while leaning on the walls of the ship.

Jacob still had that smirk, that idiot. Jacob and I go way back when Cerberus was on the citadel recruiting him, we met that day and became close friends ever since. " You know I though Cerberus would let you go after your "grateful service" was fulfilled." he said with a worried look.

" You know me Mr. Taylor, always want an adventure before retirement and you and I both know that the illusive man was not going to let me go that easily even when he can cause harm to my family." I say with a scowl, even though that man will harm the people I care about I will not let him take them down so easily. Jacob walked toward me with a smirk plastered on his face, "you know that scowl does not look good on a women of your quality." he said with his arms around my waist, with that said I blushed...

" You really are a handful aren't you Mr. Taylor but, I'm sure you have to attend to your duties." I say while encircling my arms around his neck. Truth be told, Jacob and I irritate each other like this, he is my closest friend, hell you can call him one of my best friends in this galaxy... so we just have fun like this. " Well I do have duties to attend to but I might stay..." He did not have a chance to finish what he was saying because Garrus came out around the corner and was surprised to see me like this with Jacob. I removed my arms form Jacob's neck and stared at him with a complete awkward silence.

"Garrus this is Jacob, I think you have met him but he is one of my closest friends and a great comrade." I said with a smile. Garrus just glared at Jacob and walked towards me, while keeping that awkward silence. He took my arm, pulled me towards himself and kept walking... " I'll see you later Jacob." I said while being dragged by an maybe pissed off turian. We came to a stop to the medical bay, where Dr. Chakwas was writing down something on a PDA that might be my prescription. "Ah! I see you have brought (Y/N) back, I told Garrus to get you so you can have your medication you are still in a little critical state so I would recommend bed rest for three days." she said while handing me my medication, I removed my hand from Garrus's hold " thanks doc, sorry about going away so suddenly I needed to clear my head but I promise you I won't be any trouble form now on." I said with a smile. Garrus just stared at me while I was busy taking my medications and might I say they tasted horrible, " so I heard you are going to join the team..." he said breaking the silence.

" Vakarian you know that I ain't gonna be in the sidelines watching you get your butt kicked by collectors while your hero sips on batarian shard wine. I will be where action is and thats here." I said with a smirk on my face while I laid down on the med bed. Garrus chuckled but then said something I would never though he would, " just don't get shot like that next time, or else I would make sure you stay back.... and another thing why did you get so close with that cerberus operative.. can it be...?" I did not let him finish..

"Vakarian.. Jacob and I knew each other ever since we were in the alliance, you know that I was and still am in the alliance so don't think for a second that I work for the illusive man." I said with a glare. I was getting tired, the medication was working. " I know that you don't work for the illusive man but I saw you talking to Miranda.. she said you are an asset to humanity.. I want to believe you I want to know what I heard was right or wrong?" he said with a little curiosity. This turian will not stop until he has his answers, " the illusive man knows about my.. u...u.upgrades, he thinks that I will be a great asset to the team with these. If I don't join his team he will harm the people closest to me like my sister and you... that's all I can tell you for now.." I say with tears blocking my vision.

Garrus comes up to me and hugs me while I was crying, "you know that I care about you and if something would happen to you I would never forgive myself. So a word of advice stay away from the illusive man and his twisted plan as much as you can (N/N) (Nick Name) alright." he said while soothing me to sleep. This turian is sure knows how to calm me down, "Okay I will try.." I said when sleep consumed me. Little did you know the commander was in behind the door of the med bay listening to every word you said.

"I am sorry Garrus that I could not tell you everything I could, cause its important for your own safety and the people I care about ... for them not to know that I am not who I was....." you mumbled in your sleep not knowing that a certain turian was listening to your every word.
