Chapter 4.

" Spare me the news doc and tell me when I will be able to kick collector ass?" I said with an eager voice. Doc just looked at me and said " just a two more days and then you will be fit to be in the battle field... and by the way I saw Garrus roaming around with a slight bump on his head... not that its any of my business what happened to him?"...

I wanted to tell her but I could not cause it was embarrassing, thus there was a looming silence over the med bay. I waited someone to save me from this awkward silence, and then my prayers were answered when Jacob came to my rescue. " I think (Y/N) need to have a tour of the ship before she goes into battle like a crazed Krogan." he said with a smirk. God I hate it when he says that... of-course I do sometimes go head first to battle without thinking but I am not a crazed Krogan. " Very well Mr. Taylor, please do keep get some rest (Y/N) you still have to get your health up." the doc said with a worried look, " you know Doc you worry to much, I will be perfectly fine plus we have Shepard to make sure we come back from these missions without dying." I said with a closed eyed smile. I love the Doc, she treats me like a daughter she never had. " Now miss (Y/N) will you please come with me and I will show you the rest of the floors on this ship." Jacob said while extending his hand, I laughed and took his hand while waving a goodbye to the doc. "Now Mr. Taylor where are you really taking me? cause you know that I know the ship to top to bottom." I said with a small smile. Jacob was always this playful but sometimes I use this against him, Jacob gave me a small smile but then turned serious and said " I am taking you to the illusive man, he wants to talk to his "best operative after operative Lawson". " Jacob said with air quotes. my mood turned from a fun look to a serious look, " I am already complying to his orders what else does he want." I said knowing full well he will be giving me additional orders. Jacob gave my hand a light squeeze him knowing everything about my past along with Miranda knowing as well. I looked up and gave him a small smile and then told him to guide me to the conference room where the illusive man would be waiting for me. While Jacob and I walked hand in hand towards the elevator I saw Garrus talking to Shepard .

"What are they talking about?" I thought, letting my curiosity get the better of me I walked towards the commander and Garrus talking... well I actually dragged Jacob a long with me. " Do you know where Sidonis is now?" the great commander Shepard said to Garrus. Before Garrus could reply I cut into the conversation " No, his trail vanishes after he leaves Omega. But we'll keep hunting. We lost our whole team, except for Sidonis. One day we'll find him and.... correct that." I said with a hint of hatred towards that turian bastard.

Garrus and Shepard just stared at me while Jacob was just standing there trying to understand what was going on. I glanced towards Jacob and said" now Mr. Tayolor I bet you were about to show me the ship or should I let myself handle the rest."

Jacob just smiled and dragged me towards the elevator knowing full well that the illusive man does not like to be kept waiting. " I'll see you later commander, and you too archangel." I said with a smile. I was walking towards the elevator when all of a sudden I felt a cold chill go up my spine, I looked behind my shoulder and saw Garrus glaring at Jacob.... Was.. Garrus... jealous?

No.... thats imposible I said to myself. I let go of Jacob's arm and turned around to look at Garrus he seemed to relax a bit but still glared at Jacob but then his eyes met mine.

I felt time stop and my heart beat accelerated..... What was happening to me???

Garrus looked towards me with a longing I could not describe... like he wanted to encase me in his arms and never let go.... but why...??? "Garrus please do not make me fall in love with you..." I said in my head but deep down in my heart I knew... I had fallen in deep for this turian and there was no going back.....
