" Garrus, are you gonna be okay after this?" Shepard said while grasping the Turian's shoulder. The turian just nodded and clasped Shepard's hand tighter.

Right now he wanted someone to hold him, someone to tell him that everything was going to be okay. He wanted someone to wake him up from this nightmare that he was in, but it was all reality.

Shepard enclosed Garrus in her arms, a strong desire to comfort the turian grew in her. He was vulnerable. He was weak and he needed a companion to help him understand what had happened during the mission.

Garrus tightly closed his eyes. Memories of his unforgivable crime flashed before him. " Shepard I can't bare to see her like this. What did I do?" he said while letting his tears fall onto the shoulder of the commander.

The commanded could not say anything, how could she? She did not loose the person she loved yet... So how?

She just patted his back and soothed him with words like, "its gonna be okay".

In an another part of the ship, a soft beeping could be heard coming from the med bay. Mordin and Dr. Chakwas was looking after a badly injured patient.

" Mordin are you sure it was the right thing to do to lie to Garrus about Blaze?" Chakwas said to the salarian.

Modin looked up from his data pad and said " it was for (y/n) safety and his. (y/n) will be in a coma state for a while, until then we would be able to safely transport her to a safe location where Cerberus cannot find her."

" And how are we suppose to do that, without Shepard noticing." Chakwas said with an irritated look. " That simple doctor, me and Jacob will take her. You will be notified once she is safe." came a voice from behind them.

Both the doctors looked behind them and saw Jacob and Miranda. Already geared up for a mission. " We will ensure that she safley reaches the given coordinates by Mordin. Until then she has to be kept in a coma." Jacob said to the doctor while trying to give her a sense of reassurance.

Chakwas looked at Mordin for a sign of explanation. Mordin just nodded, telling her that it was okay.

She sighed and allowed the two to take Blaze away to the secret location.

The doctor kept one thing in mind all this time:

We lied to him for a reason, we told him she was dead for a reason.

This is for her sanity and her safety.
