Chapter 5

" I need you to keep an eye on the commander for me Blaze, and make sure the mission is a success. Am I clear?" said the illusive man over the com link. " Yeah I got it but why would you want me to keep an eye on her? You have Miranda, half of the crew and an self aware AI. No offense EDI." I said looking up making sure I did not offend EDI.

" None taken, Blaze." EDI said. " You do know why I am taking this precaution, even you know this is for the best. Don't you?" the illusive man said with a smirk, I hate this cocky bastard he had secretes about me that not even Garrus knew about.

" Fine, I will keep an eye on her but if you lay a hand on my sister I promise you, the reapers would be the least of your worries." I said with a hint of anger in my voice.

The illusive man just nodded with that smirk he always plasters on his face.

The line was disconnected and I was able to relax again, knowing full well what I had got myself into.

As I exited the com room I saw Jacob leaning on wall waiting for me, I smiled at him.

" Rough talk with the boss?" he said with a tired voice, " cocky bastard knows every damn secret about me and won't hesitate to use them against me... was I wrong to seek protection from Cerburus in hopes that they wouldn't hurt my sister the way they did to me?" I said with a sigh.

I had gotten myself into this mess just to protect my little sister but was I able to do it? My enemies had became her enemies and I did not understand how......

" Hey, its going to be okay.. I promise nothing will happen to you and your sister as long as I am standing now relax and lets get you into your assigned quarters." Jacob said while holding out his hand and pulling me towards him.

I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed his cheek, Jacob really knew how to make me smile.

Jacob leaned his forehead on to mine and I was able to relax finally, the peace was interrupted when Garrus suddenly showed up with a pistol...??

He saw me in Jacob's arm and gave me that same look again... why? I quickly let go of Jacob and turned towards Garrus. " Garrus..? What are you doing h.e..rre? " I said while stuttering? Garrus just kept looking at me and then to Jacob, there was looming silence between us for what felt like an eternity.

" I actually came here to give this to Jacob. I wanted this pistol to be upgraded but it looks like you both were busy. If you need me (Y/N) I will be the gunnery calibrating the gun controls." he said with a hint of hate directed towards both me and Jacob.

As he left I gave Jacob a nod which he understood as a goodbye for now, I followed Garrus till the elevators.

I caught his hand before he could get in but he pulled me towards him and pinned me towards the elevator wall.

I looked up and saw Garrus electric blue eyes that had so many un familiar feelings that had been causing my heart to beat faster than light speed.

We started at each other for what seemed like an eternity and the elevator did not move nor did it open, was EDI doing something...?

" Garrus... What you saw between me and Jacob was nothing. He is like a brother to me and looks after me." I said with a sigh.

I felt like I had to  explain to Garrus what relationship I had with Jacob right now before I could say anything.

Garrus said nothing and kept staring at me with such an intensity that I swear I could melt. My heart could no longer take what was happening, my mind was going blank....

Garrus came closer to my face and I could feel his hot breath on my ear, " tell me (Y/N) what do you think angers me more, you being with Jacob all the time or you ignoring me?" he said with anger in his voice.

" Garrus..." was all I could say before moved away from my ear and started leaning in.

My mind went completely blank as our lips met and moulded into one, Garrus let goes of my hands and I wrap my arms around his neck. While his hand were on my hips, we kissed for what seemed like hours and we parted our lips leaving only leaving little space between us.

Suddenly the doors opened and Garrus let me go, he walked away but stopped and look back at me with a smirk and walked away.

I kept standing there with heavy breaths trying to calm down my increasing heart beat... what had just happened and what had Garrus done to me?
