Chapter 17

Things were going great with me and Garrus so far. Shepard was happy for me, she was glad that her sister had finally found happiness in this dark lonely galaxy.

Yet something felt wrong... Like him and I would never be together. Ever...

" Blaze... Hey are you okay?" Garrus said with a worried tone. I looked at him with the a dazed look and soon got back to reality.

" I'm sorry Garrus it's just that I am tired. Nothing else, so don't worry." I said to him with a smile.

Garrus hesitated to say something but he knew I was right.

Today had been a tiring day, with helping Grunt with his problems on Tuchanka till helping Miranda with her sister's case. The team had simply no time to catch a breather.

Now that things were going easy, Garrus and I finally had time together.

We just cuddled and talked about what we did when the other one was away.

Garrus was just talking about how the Notmandy's guns needed a few updates when I started drifting back and forth from dream land to reality.

Garrus kissed my forehead and laid my head on his shoulder. Allowing me to get comfortable.

Man I love this Turian.

As I was drifting to sleep, a though had came in. I wanted to ask him this question so badly.

"Garrus, can I ask you something?" I asked him while playing with his talons.

" Sure what is it?" he said to me while rocking us back and forth on the bed, in means of helping me sleep.

" I know that I have my demons. I know you are my anchor from all of the chaos that comes and goes in my life.... But what about you? You are so worried about me that you don't get to tell me what is bothering you." I said to him.

Garrus stayed silent for a few minutes, collecting his thoughts.

" (y/n), I'm just scared of losing you. You are like a safe haven for me from all this bullshit that we face. I love you so much that I can't bare the idea of you leaving me." he says while pulling me closer.

My heart beat accelerated, my lips started to form a smile.

I got up from his hold and cupped his face in both of my hands. We just stared into each other's eyes and seem to be lost.

He brought his face closer and closer. Our lips were only a meter away.

I saw a slight look of hesitation from him, I just smiled and brought our lips together.

When the kiss ended Garrus docked his head on my shoulder. I started to caress his head. The same way he would do to me whenever I became stressed out.

He pulled me closer, as if I would just disappear any minute.

" Garrus, I promise that I would never leave you ever. I love you so much." I said to him.

Garrus just nodded and soon fell asleep. Happy knowing that I was here for him.

I just continued caressing his head, until his breaths started to become shallow. A peaceful silence had dawned into the room.

I was happy. I was at peace and finally I was finally be able to feel love.

" Thank you Garrus for falling in love with me." I said to him. Now feeling sleep over take me.

But yet this love between us would go against its biggest trial.
