Chapter 3

An alarm, and red lights could be seen...

People screaming and explosions everywhere...

What was happening? My sister where is she... I kept looking everywhere but I could not find her....

" Sis... Where a-a..*cough* you?" I said with a voice I could muster.. My helmet was cracked...

" Over here..." said a masked voice ... I was about to reach towards her when all of a sudden an explosion.

I woke up with a jolt, why was having those nightmares again? I was sweating profusely and looked up at the clock at my bed side, it was two o clock in the morning... What was going on with me. I decided to exit the crew quarters to get a glass of water to clear my head. To my surprise I found Joker and Garrus talking at this time of hour, I walked towards the water cooler and filled my cup with water hoping they would not see me but faith was not at my side right now. " (Y/N)? Why are you awake at this time of night? Did you have those nightmares again? " I just hated the turian he knew every detail of my life. " Yah it was one of those nightmares again you don't have to worry about anything..."I said with a sigh. I looked down to my beverage and rubbed my head, it was pounding and I could not focus right now. Garrus held my arm noticing my swaying movement, "you are still on meds... Doc said to keep you in bed, why can't you just listen to her and go back to sleep." he said with a slight pissed of tone. " I don't want to sleep, I had enough sleep these past two days..I-I wan.." I could not complete my sentence when all of a sudden I felt myself loosing balance , Garrus caught me and picked me up bridal style.

" You should listen to him (Y/N). You need your body to heal if you want to face the collectors. Anyway I should be returning to bed, E.D.I has advised me to get some sleep while she manages the ship." Joker said while getting. "Wait Joker.. I though y-o--u did not trust E.D.I" I said while leaning my head to Garrus's chest. He sighed and said "Yah I may not trust that AI but she is right I need full strength to face the collectors, if I don't listen to her... Doc will come after me with meds." he cringed while saying that. Knowing joker he hates meds, his reason they taste awful. "Goodnight J, I will see you in the mor...." I fell asleep without even realising how tired I was.

"Goodnight (Y/N). Hey Garrus, (Y/N) is someone special to me and everyone in this crew, she is like a sister to me but I know I can't protect her when she is down their on the battle field.. I want you to promise me something. Keep her safe down there, (Y/N) will seem brave while facing the reapers but she has been through so much that she is ready to breakdown." Joker said with a sigh..

" She may seem like a women who is strong, brave, compassionate and most of all kind.. but she needs someone who can lift her burdens, she needs us and mostly you. She is a stubborn women, won't let anyone inside her life cause she has seen many people close to her get hurt but looks like she allowed you into her heart without her even knowing. So keep her safe if she gets hurt I will make sure you hate living in the Normandy." Joker said while walking away to his room. Garrus just sighed and looked at the sleeping women in his arms " I plan keep her safe, even if hell come upon me.. (Y/N) you are a mysterious women and I plan to stay with you till the end no matter what." He said while kissing your forehead. You smiled while snuggling into his chest.

" (Y/N) wake up.." said a turian I know. I opened my eyes that were being adjusted to the light. " Garrus..? what time is it?" I said with a tired voice, "its 8am, the doc wants to do a medical examination on you, to make sure your fit for duty." Garrus said. "Okay I am up..." I said with a hint of irritation... Wait... where am I? I turned around and saw Garrus's arms wrapped around me.... I screamed at the top of my lungs. "Garrus!!" I yelled, while pushing him away.. which made him fall on the floor.

" Ouch! (Y/N) what was that for?" he said while getting up.
