After her audition, which the judges were all impressed with, Sae stayed behind while most of the other auditionees went home. As the room emptied out, only one other girl stayed behind. A girl who had wavy brown hair. She adorned pale skin and emanated a powerful aura. Sae gulped. Were they going to have to compete to get a spot as a trainee? Sae knew that if she went against this girl, she wouldn't win. However, the girl noticing Sae looking at her turned around and waved in greeting. Sae meekly waved back. They then both went back to whatever they were doing in their corners.

A couple minutes later, the same judge who had asked Sae to stay behind entered the room. The other girl also looked up from what she was doing attentively. The judge gestured to the two and asked them to dance. Sae was confused yet again. Dance? She hadn't prepared a dance for the audition but the judge told them to freestyle. Turning on the beat, Sae danced smoothly to the beat while the other girl had a bit of trouble.

After, the judge smiled and said "That was very nice Sae-sshi. Hina-sshi you could use a bit of work but it's okay."

Sae rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly while the judge gestured them to their next task. Taking profiles of themselves. After the profiles had been taken, the girl named Hina was dismissed. Had it been a competition? Sae was not sure, but she confidently stood to wait for her next task. Suddenly, the studio door opened again and a familiar platinum-blonde haired girl came in.

"Yo," said Baek-Ah in greeting, raising a hand. She then bowed in greeting to the judge. Sae was appalled.

"This is Baek-Ah sshi, but it seems you two have met before, am I correct?" asked the judge. Sae nodded slightly. She was still in complete confusion.

Baek-Ah just laughed like usual. "I should properly introduce myself to you unni, now that you've passed the test," she said. So it was a competition, Sae concluded.

"Hello, my name is Baek-Ah. I'm an eighteen-year-old trainee at JYP Entertainment," said Baek-Ah. Trainee? JYP Entertainment? What and what? Sae was getting dizzy. She was utterly shocked.

"Wait wait. Let me explain alright? I came here today to see if there was any talent that I would prefer to be in the group that I'm forming. Which is why I'm here at the audition today. You stood out to me, so I decided to help you. You outshined yourself, really. Which is why I would like to ask you to join my group. You'll still be signed under BigHit of course," said Baek-Ah.

Sae recollected herself after hearing Baek-Ah's explanation. Her declaration was bold and to be able to be part of a group even before joining the company was a big jump start in a career. Baek-Ah seemed very talented herself, which was an additive. After thinking about it, Sae agreed to join her group. Baek-Ah was overjoyed. Sorting out the trainee contracts, Sae signed under BigHit and joined the trainee group, Jerome.
