Emma's P.O.V

"Miss. Parker, are you sure that you want to do this? I can ask someone else to do it on your behalf, that is if you want", Director Williams asked, his face etched with concern as we walked through the underground tunnel towards a particular room.

I stopped walking and then turned a ninety degrees to face him.

"Why do you think that I wouldn't feel the need to do this?", I asked him with my eyebrows raised and my arms crossed over my chest.

"Well, I had a hunch that you might feel uncomfortable to talk to the guys who murdered your parents", was his blunt reply.

I sighed and then stepped closer as I looked him in the eye.

"I promise that you've got nothing to worry, Director", I told him with a genuine smile as my eyes radiated anything but fear and hesitance.

His lips twitched upwards as he beamed at me with pride. He then nodded and resumed his pace towards the interrogation room as I followed suit by his side.

He might be right.

I might be feeling a bit queasy to meet them. After all, they were the nightmares that I had been trying to get rid of all these years. But trust me, queasy isn't the right word to describe the number of emotions that my mind is going through right now.

"Do you want me to come in with you?", the Director asked as we stopped infront of the metallic door.

I shook my head in negative as I watched him from the corner of my eyes, not turning to face him from the door.

I saw him open his mouth as if to say something, but I soon cut him off.

"But, I do need a favor. No matter what happens inside, I don't want anyone to interrupt me unless I'm at the verge of dying", I told him calmly.

I saw him shake his head in agreement as I placed my now cold hands on the silver door knob.

I then took a deep breath and entered.

Jason's P.O.V

It has been an hour since they brought me to this room. They were probably planning to question and torture me again.

I sighed.

No matter what they do to me, they won't get any answers from me.

A sneer made up to my face but soon vanished as my face scrunched up in pain as a jolt of pain shot through my right leg. My limbs were sore from all the beating I got yesterday.

I sighed again for the umpteenth time and tried shifting in my seat to feel more comfortable, but to no avail, I couldn't even move an inch because I was tightly bound to the chair with strings.

Just when I thought that I was going to dozz off with all the boredom, I heard the door click open.

A beautiful young woman entered the room. Her silky black hair bounced on her shoulders as her sparkling emerald green eyes made their way towards mine. She had her curves at the right places. And she was indeed a sight for any eyes.

Yet, there was something which seemed very off about her. I scanned her flawless face again, but carefully this time and my eyes widened as I realized what was amiss.

It was her eyes.

Her emerald green eyes, despite of being beautiful and sparkly, they looked empty.
