Emma's P.O.V.
One moment I was in a peaceful dreamless slumber and at the next, I was gasping for air as something cold hit my face. It felt like electrocuting a person who was at the verge of dying to bring him back to life.
I gasped again as another bucket of ice cold water splashed on me, drenching me from head to toe as my deeply slashed wounds stung horribly. My eyes were already wide open, yet my mind was still numb from the shock making me feel completely clueless on what was happening.
I felt someone pat my face hurriedly.
Huh?
My eyes slowly focused on baldy as realization dawned upon me gradually.
I quickly looked around for the mega-mind, but found no one in sight. The sound of a sigh met my ears. I looked towards my side only to see a visibly trembling baldy with relief evident in his eyes.
He took a huge roll of bandage and started wrapping it around my torso over my blue shirt tightly. I winced when the cloth dug deep in to my slashed wounds. The tanned skin belonging to baldy, now looked pale even under the yellow neon lights.
He pulled me up from the chair with a grunt. The corners of my lips quirked upwards in to a smug smirk making me realize that the duct tape and the ropes were gone.
Wrong move baldy.
I snickered. He looked up at the sound and glared at me with his jaw clenched. I smirked again.
What can he do? I am sure that I could lift him with one arm.
Okay, maybe I am over exaggerating a bit, but still lifting was definitely possible!
"Walk", he grunted and jabbed a gun at my back.
I started taking baby steps towards the door, just to tick him off. On the other hand, I had to drag the time till the IAE breaks in here if I want to live a tad bit longer. Unfortunately, one against a hundred or even more wouldn't be a good match in reality like the films portray it to be.
We were now walking through a dark corridor after climbing a couple of flight of stairs. Our footsteps echoed in meantime announcing our arrival to the rivals. I knew better, we were no longer in the basement. My guess was that we were rather in the third floor.
"Stop", the baldy jabbed the gun again silently daring me to move.
We were now infront of a huge teak door. The door opened on its own accord as if it was awaiting our arrival.
"Move", baldy grunted again, roughly pushing me forward.
My heartbeat slowly began to speed up its pace.
I was finally going to meet him.
"Please don't let it be of someone I know", I mentally prayed as I stepped in to the dark room.
I was first greeted by the sight of a huge wide glass window overlooking the streets below. By the look of the dark sky, it must be around 9 in the evening now.
I frantically looked around adjusting my vision around the dark room only to be greeted by a muscular silhouette leaning against the glass window at the corner of the room. By the look of it, he had his arms crossed over his chest, but that wasn't what intrigued me. It was his eyes.
I stared right in to the luminous blue orbs flashing at me in the dark. They held of clear amusement and interest. I glared right back at them. I won't die without giving a fight.
I watched the silhouette straighten up. He walked towards me with predator like steps. I stood right where I was, not even moving an inch back.
The silence was deafening.
