Emma's P.O.V

White.

Everything that met my vision was white. White ceiling, white walls, white bed posts, white sheets and let alone them, even the roll of bandages that were swaying infront of me were white. So much white within a month was just hurting my eyes these days. This was the fourth time that I was in a hospital or maybe even more. I have just lost count.

I mentally facepalmed myself.

I looked at the nurse who was changing my bandages for the day. After the night before's injury I was forced to take all the tests in the world. The brighter side was that the government paid for the bills, but on the darker side, I had to end up getting my head checked a million times. No matter how hard I tried to refuse, the President was adamant when it came to my health.

So after a day full of tests, pain killers and bandages spent at the hospital, here I am, sitting on my hospital bed widely awake the next morning.

Jeez, I'm never ever stepping in to a hospital again.

I winced slightly as the bandage was tightened around the wound on my head but soon disguised it with a cough. I don't think I can afford to spend another day here without losing my sanity.

The door to my room opened and Doctor Kate entered with a bright smile on her face. I don't know whether you remember her, but we've already met during my multiple visits here.

"How are you feeling today?", she asked as she inspected me and jotted some things on her clipboard.

"Excellent!", I replied instantly in an overly chirpy voice.

She flashed me a knowing smile.

"Your reports are normal except for the part where we had to transfuse some blood in to your system because you lost alot. And as for the wounds, they are alot too deep. You need to treat them with care or they will catch an infection quickly which would make the situation far worse. And for the good news you can get discharged tomorrow, but you need to put less strain on yourself because you are physically weak and the gashes might split open upon any over exertion of stress", the doctor explained everything in one go.

My chirpy mood got soon switched off at the mention of tomorrow.

"Tomorrow?!", I whined.

She looked at me from above her glasses and flashed me a charming smile.

"Oh that is if you promise to come back for a checkup exactly after two weeks or you can spend the rest of your time here-"

"I promise!", I quickly interrupted her before she could finish off what she started.

"That's my girl", she patted my shoulder gently and trotted towards the door after flashing me a wide smile.

AHHHHHHH!

I groaned in frustration and facepalmed myself.

The nurse had long gone. I got off the bed very slowly, wincing in between. My legs landed directly on my flip flops which made it somewhat easier for me. I then walked, basically limped towards the door and flung it open.

I smelt freedom in every step I took towards the balcony. Just as I stepped through the balcony glass doors, cold air hit me making my eyes flutter close, enjoying the moment as the golden morning rays basked me in their soothing warmth.

Ahhh.

I love the feel of nature on my skin.

"Beautiful isn't it?"

My eyes fluttered open at the voice and snapped towards its direction to watch Cayden looking at me intently. I quickly averted my gaze towards the city beneath me to hide my red cheeks. We were on the 15th floor making the rush of wind even faster.
