Emma's P.O.V

"Ready?", I whispered softly.

"Ready. Over", the walkie-talkie in my hand blared back.

I looked at my crew and they all nodded back. A moment of silence descended upon us.

I sighed.

"Let's go!", I told our driver hurriedly, giving his shoulder a firm pat.

The next second, the van's engine rumbled in to life and began to race down the mini driveway that I stumbled upon yesterday.

I quickly turned around to see the other two crews following us in two different vans. I turned around again and saw that we were now heading fast towards the huge black steel gates.

The gates opened wide just as we neared it. I signalled the man who opened the gate to follow suit. He was one of the men who we sent to take down the security guards of the mansion.

The van came in to a screeching halt infront of the huge white mansion. We all tumbled out of the van hurriedly with our weapons poised ready to shoot. To our surprise, no one came to stop us. I looked at my crew members to see that they were exchanging looks similar to mine.

Confusion clouded my eyes.

Now that's wierd.

Why isn't anyone shooting at us? Did I misinterpret Cayden's actions?

Questions swirled in my mind confusing it further. I shook my head in denial.

Nah! Impossible! I made sure to do my homework. I'm pretty sure that this was their main spot.

Then why isn't anyone coming after us?

I'm pretty sure that I ain't mistaken unless-

My eyes widened in horror as I felt my heart drop to the pit of my stomach making me feel nauseous and dizzy at the same time.

Unless-

Unless someone tipped them.

Unless there was a traitor in our group.

Oh my God!

Blood pounded in my ears. My mind was in jeopardy right now. Thoughts revolving 'what ifs' and many unanswered questions echoed within the walls of my head making my mind a hazy hassle.

"Emma calm down. Don't asume things until you get your facts right. Go ahead and look what is in there!", the inner-me screamed back, trying to knock some sense in to this pea-nut sized brain of mine.

I took a deep breath. She's right. I shouldn't give up now, not when I've come this far.

I shook my head clear and motioned our team to execute the plan. They stared at me for a whole second looking totally baffled and then hurried to do what I asked them to do.

If it had been any other situation, I would have had a good laugh at their expression, but unfortunately it was not.

We climbed up the few steps and just as we were about to step through the lock-picked mansion doors, another black van came rumbling down the driveway through the widely opened gates. We all aimed our weapons at the van.

The van came to an abrupt stop and the door slid open.

We all had our guns ready and non of us moved an inch. Sweat trickled down my forehead as my eyes zeroed on the van. A black shoe appeared first. Then followed a full whole leg clad in black trousers.

My heart beat rose.

"Please let it not be Cayden", I mentally prayed.

Then stepped out a suit clad torso and my eyes widened in surprise.
