Emma's P.O.V

BOOM! BOOM! BANG! BANG! BANG!

"Urrgh!", I groaned aloud as I struggled to shut the annoying alarm clock that was ringing from my bedside table.

Well to my dismay, the clock just fell off and rolled away as my hand knocked on to it accidentally.

I groaned again in annoyance as I rolled off the bed and crawled on the floor towards it with my eyes half closed and my hair disheveled.

I'm pretty sure that I looked like an electrocuted zombie now.

"Aha! I finally can shut you up!", I muttered sleepily as I slammed it shut.

I lied down on the cold tiled floor as I drifted off to sleep again when my eyes suddenly flung open as I remembered something.

Oh crap! I've got to meet the IAE.

I looked up at the wall clock in my room and it read 8 am. I had half an hour to get ready and be there.

"Great! My plan for sleeping the whole sunday off has all gone to a waste!", I huffed in frustration as I struggled to get off from the floor to head towards the bathroom.

Deja vu hit me as I entered the building. It had been precisely 5 years since the last time I visited this place. I was about to look for help when someone patted my shoulder from behind.

"Are you Miss. Parker?", a teenaged girl asked me nervously as I turned around to face her.

"Yes, I am", I told her with a genuine smile.

"Miss. Parker, I'm so glad to meet you finally! I've been a fan of yours since I was a kid", the girl said with her eyes shining in excitement.

The girl was a brunette with huge chocolate brown eyes. She was an attractive young girl who looked both intelligent and innocent for her age.

There was something vaguely familiar about her which I couldn't put my finger on.

"Eh- Do I know you?", I asked her in confusion.

It's impossible for her to know me because even back then, the special agents who worked here, always worked undercover for the IAE.

"You don't recognize me do you?", the girl asked, a teasing smile playing on her lips.

She giggled as she took in my clueless baffled expression.

"I'm Perry Martin!", she then exclaimed with a childish pout as she realized that I wasn't planning on replying soon.

"Oh my God!", the words automatically left my lips as my eyes lit up with recognition.

"Perry! Is that really you? You have grown up! The last time I saw you, you were like this", I told her in disbelief as I indicated a height up to my knees.

Perry was Martin's daughter. Martin was the Special Agent-in-Charge (SAC) during those days when I used to work here. He was also one of my Father's friends. Ever since I met him, Martin has always been a fatherly figure to me.

I lost contact with him and the IAE after that fateful day.

"Well what can you expect, I'm 16 now", she said with a shrug.

"I'm so glad that I met you Perry", I told as I pulled her into a bear hug.

"Me-too", she emotionally whispered into my ear, clinging onto me as if she doesn't want to let go.
