Emma's P.O.V

"If what you are saying is true, then we need a change of plans", I told her, pacing back and forth.

I then sighed.

Maybe that is why our previous spies found nothing suspicious about him.

"Good job Bella!", I patted her on the back making her beam at me in pride.

"Now listen, this is the plan", I whispered as she stared at me with those determined black orbs of hers.

Isabella's P.O.V

My gaze wandered towards the sky as a soft sigh escaped my dry lips.

The whole sky was lit up with sparks, reflecting shades of orange and red upon my eyes. My eyes squinted to focus on a fiery red orb of light slowly sinking beneath the horizon, later widening in utter admiration.

The scene was too mesmerizing for I couldn't help but stop and stare in awe.

I watched the sky turn a darker shade of blue as the the sun slipped further, gradually engulfing the whole sky in darkness and serenity.

I sighed.

We have been gifted with something so powerful and pure, but all that man could do is, destroy it!

"And they call themselves educated", I chuckled to myself bitterly.

My mind was too engulfed by my thoughts that I almost screamed my head off when I felt my leg vibrate. I took my phone out of my pocket to see that it was Emma.

Oh shit! I was supposed to be proceeding with our plan.

"Hello?", I answered nervously.

"Why do you sound so nervous? Are you alright?", I heard her ask in concern.

"Oh yeah, I am. No worries", I chirped back, trying to sound cheerful enough to convince her.

"Ummmmmm", her voice drawled unsurely, giving me the hint that she didn't buy it.

Why does this woman always has to be smart?

I sighed and tried again.

"I'm fine. I promise. I got a bit carried away by nature and it's beauty", I told her sheepishly.

That was the truth so.

"Oh okay, then", was her hesitant reply.

I expected her to hang up, but no, she didn't. I heard her hesitating again as if she wanted to tell me something.

After a few seconds of silently contemplating, I heard her call out again.

"Bella?"

"Yeah?"

"Hey, if anything happens, we are hear to protect you alright. Be strong. Do what you've got to do, and leave the rest for us. We all love you. I love you", I heard her say in a soothing soft voice.

I couldn't help but tear up at her words. Not even my parents had told me that they loved me.

"Thank you", I said and bit back a sob.

I pocketed my phone and wiped my eyes.

I now knew why I let myself get carried away at an important mission like this. It was because I was afraid. 

I was afraid that I might fail.

I was afraid whether I would come back to see my little brother.
