Abu Dhabi

Happy to have you back in the present day my fellow readers!

The sun was indescribably hot today. Checking my phone it read the local temp was 40c! No wonder the guys raced at night. It was unbearable! And yeah you may gather, I was in Abu Dhabi! After a long awaited 8 weeks, I was finally here!

I had landed some time this morning and headed to meet Jessica after freshening up to get the ball rolling with this fashion thing that was happening later this week. She'd obtained all my measurements during my absence from the race weekends via email, conveniently, so now she was able to show me the clothes that she had picked out for me. I guess I was a little nervous, but excited too as I was usually behind the camera, not in front of it. But after seeing what I would be wearing I was pretty happy, mostly all the dresses we would be showing off were white or pastel/nude shades; mentally I thanked myself for having a tan! So I left her feeling pretty excited.

I smiled instantly. It was Nico. I was so excited to see him, and I guess he felt the same.

I smiled at that reply. He wanted me to go see him, but little did he know I was already on my way to the track. I was heading to a meet up with Laura, Vivian and some of the other girls who were in the show on the Monday following the race. I thought it a bit strange that they were having it on that day, but that's the only free slot they could work with. Still, I was looking forward to meeting up with everyone again, it had been too long.

I'd sent Nico a reply to his last text, telling him he'd have to wait to see me, keeping it from him that I was at the track to surprise him at some point today. He wasn't very happy about that which made me giggle. But here I was, in the paddock, walking into the main F1 building, seeing some of the girls already here.

The catch up with the girls was a blast. We had such a giggle together, such a great group of girls to do this show with, and sadly we were all now about to go our separate ways, down to the respective hospitality suites of the drivers.

We all sauntered down the paddock, carrying on our giggles and chats, "there's my man" Vivian beamed, making me look up, seeing Nico Rosberg talking to some guy from Mercedes. He must have heard us all coming, as he turned his head, seeing us walking towards him, instantly smiling at his girlfriend.

They embraced and kissed like they hadn't seen each other in weeks, it was lovely to see, and then he turned to me, "you're back!" he beamed me a smile, holding his arms out. "Yes! It's been too long!" I giggled as he embraced me. "It's good to see you" he nodded as we parted, "likewise" I agreed with a grin. "Lewis will be happy," he said, "we want a rematch" he winked, referring to our little foosball match back in Italy. I laughed, "You guys will lose again!" I teased, he laughed, shaking his head, "we've been practicing" he laughed, I raised an eyebrow, "me and Nico." he said, "oh have you?!" I asked, quite amused. "Yes," he laughed a little more, "I think you'll need a miracle, not more practice!" I teased again. He laughed at me, shaking his head again, and then his eye caught something across the paddock, "hey! Your woman doesn't think we'll beat her in a rematch!" he yelled, causing us all to look over to whom he was shouting to, and my heart suddenly started beating a mile a minute.

Over at the other side of the paddock, a few motor homes down, I saw a familiar shape stop and look over at us. I immediately smiled, seeing Nico looking back at us. He grinned that beaming smile at Nico's comment and started to walk over to us. I couldn't help myself, but I started to head in his direction too, eventually meeting in the middle of the paddock, our eyes locked on each other all the time.

"That's fighting talk you know" he said softly smiling at me as we met each other. I giggled, "I'm sure you can handle it" I replied sweetly. He chuckled, keeping his eyes on me all the time. "Hello" he sighed softly. "Hey" I blushed back, feeling him gently pick up my left hand. "I've missed you" he smiled, making me blush, "me too" I smiled shyly, and then watching him lift my hand to his face as he placed a kiss upon the back of it. My stomach was doing somersaults, when I heard "Aww" cooing from behind us. We paused, looking at each other, then I turned to see the girls and Nico stood watching us grinning. My face instantly coloured up and I laughed at them. I heard Nico chuckling behind me, making me look back to him. "I have to go to a photo shoot now, can you come and watch?" he asked, making me smile, "uh yeah I think so, I'll just go see Laura" I told him, making him nod, and eventually release my hand from him.

"Just go!" Laura giggled at me as I attempted to walk over to them. I paused and smiled at her as she waved me off, "I'll see you tonight!" she smiled. I grinned at them all and nodded, wasting no time in turning back to Nico, who was stood watching me with a huge smile on his face.
