My heart was beating a mile a minute as I watched Nico's car colliding with Rosberg's Mercedes. "guys, we're done. I've crashed" I heard Nico's voice coming through the headset.

Information came flooding through to my ears about the state of Nico's car and what they think happened. All I cared about was that Nico was okay.

...........

It seemed to take forever for him to get back to the paddock. But soon enough he was walking through the garage to talk to his engineers. I watched him talk, studying the information on the screens, nodding his head as his chief engineer told him something.

Someone came and placed his helmet beside me, along with his gloves, ear pieces and balaclava. They gave me a nod and disappeared off. Seeing Nico move off behind them. I briefly wondered where he was going, but as I saw the girl who went into the media ring with him, I assumed he was going to do some post crash interviews. Every drivers favourite...

........

Around an hour later, I was sat in Nico's Room, again, anxiously waiting to see him. The race was well and truly over and everyone was packing up.

The door opened and my heart raced, Mathew poked his head around the door. "he's just getting a shower" he told me, "okay" I nodded with a blush. "see you later" he smiled and then closed it again. I sighed and rested back against the wall.

I sat there for a few minutes longer, flicking through instagram, not really paying attention when finally the door opened once more and it was by the person I so desperately wanted to see.

"Nico" I sighed breathlessly, jumping off the massage table to get to him. He caught me in his arms as I rushed at him, embracing him gladly, relieved he was okay. "hey," he grinned as he buried his face into my neck, squeezing me tight. "maybe I should have a crash more often" he chuckled, immediately I gasped and pulled away from him, "don't you dare say that!" I scolded him, giving him one of my nasty looks. He chuckled more at me for getting angry at him. "I'm kidding" he added, pulling me against him once more.

"I'm glad you're safe. That was the worst thing I've ever seen" I sighed, resting my head on his chest. "it was okay, just a little bump. no big deal." he said, playing it down. "but I am enjoying the aftermath..." he said, making me tut at him. He chuckled again, "well don't get used to it Hulkenberg" I replied, pulling away from him once again. He laughed at my response, but grabbed my waist before I had chance to walk away from him.

"you guys coming to the party?!" Mathew interrupted us, I hadn't even heard the door open. We looked to see him grinning widely at us. Nico looked to me for my answer. "of course." I told him, "just been trying to get away from this one" I said smirking as I stepped away from Nico and walked towards the door. I heard him laughing at me as he followed close by.

........

Two hours had passed since we'd arrived at the party. Majority of which myself and Laura had been dancing. "so are you together again?" she asked as we waited for some drinks. I shrugged. "it's weird, we're kinda acting like we are, but we've not had 'the talk' yet" I replied. "I guess it's just for me to let him know that everything's okay between us. But I'd think my actions have shown that already" I added. "but it's Nico, he's a gentleman isn't he." Laura said, taking two glasses from the barman. "hmm." I sighed, "not always" I replied, taking the remaining two glasses. Laura looked at me and I smirked back. "I think you need to let your actions do the talking" she winked. "I have some ideas up my sleeve" I grinned back and we headed on over to where the guys were all sat.

.........

I slid mine and Nico's drinks across the table to him. Laura sat between Paul and Talon, so I looked for a free seat, when I soon realised there wasn't one. Nico's friends were sitting around the table and they were all sat grinning up at me. I knew their game. "looks like there's only one free seat Victoria" Jacob winked at me. I rolled my eyes playfully "uh huh, funny that" I answered, grinning back at them, covering the nerves that had invaded my body that very second.

"I'm sure Nico wouldn't mind some company" Jasper teased me. I rolled my eyes again at them, trying to slide between them and the table as elegantly as I could.

"do you mind?" I asked Nico timidly, knowing there were eyes on us. "of course not" he smiled at me, shuffling a little so I had space to sit on his lap. "I'd be crazy to stop you" he whispered into my ear as I settled on his knee. My skin instantly bumped up at the sensation of his lips brushing against the shell of my ear. Then his hand smoothing over the curve of my bum to my thigh had my temperature rising.

.........

I'd not spent too long sitting on Nico's lap, some of the guys had caught their eyes on some girls in the room so once they vacated our table I moved to sit beside him.

"are you sure you're okay sitting there? You look lonely" Nico whispered, leaning over to me as the others were talking about the race. I laughed, "I'm fine" I told him, "if I feel like I need to sit on someones lap you'll be the first one I ask" I laughed at him grinning at me. He winked at me and I coloured up, as usual.

"what's the plan tomorrow guys? What's everyone doing?" Paul asked interrupting our little stating contest. "have nothing planned" I shrugged. "me neither actually" Nico added. "cool. How about we all meet up here before the girls have to head to the venue for the show?" he offered. I nodded, "sounds good to me" I replied.

........

"so I get to see more of you?" Nico asked me, making me smile when we were waking out of the party. It was around 3am and everyone was heading their separate ways. "it appears so" I grinned at him, feeling his hands on my hips as he walked behind me. We headed to the lift where I knew Nico would have to leave me. He pressed the call button.

"thank you for being there today" he said sincerely as he looked into my eyes. I smiled, "it's where I belong" I shrugged. He sighed "you don't know how desperate I've been to have you there again. I thought you never would" he told me. The ping of the lift came all too soon. "and I never thought I'd ever be back in your hotel room..." I said, turning from him and walking into the lift.
