I was in and out of observation rooms all day. Into one to get a scan, out of another from a blood test.
By the end of the day i had ended up back in my room. Johnny had left, and Maddie returned to keep me company. I didn't mind. To be honest i wanted her to stay. Me and her were comparing the new and old technologies of the world when the doctor came in carrying a couple of vials of who knows what.
"Good news." she said setting the vials down on the edge of the bed. "we tested your blood and it seems that the treatment will work. We just need to keep you here for the rest of the week, every four hours taking the shot, and keeping you around someone who is healthy, but only one person, i don't want to risk your safety."
I nodded feeling somewhat better. She took one of the vials and poured the liquid into a needle and syringe. I held out my arm and she disinfected it and injected it. I didn't feel it go in, i didn't feel anything.
"It should take effect in a few minutes." she said and left.
