The Moon and the Earth

Chapter Thirteen

Moon's POV

I didn't question Maddie being in the bathroom for so long. I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually because she was actually a guy and she had a big bladder.

I didn't care much because i was so hungry. But when she got back she seemed a bit upset. I didn't say much, all i did was crack a joke about her being gone for so long.

Once we finished eating she wanted to roam the mall around some more. The stores were newer versions of the stores i was use to, Hot Topic, Claire's, Game Stop. 

She had wanted to stop by her house before dropping me off. I guess she wanted me to meet her parents or something. I was kinda afraid.

"Don't be, they let me get away with anything."

I smiled as we walked down the street. it was a nice neighborhood. The houses were similar to the next and the only way to figure if it was yours was by the number and the decorations you put up.

She led me up one of the driveways of a non-decorated house. She unlocked the door and walked in.

"Madeline?" Someone yelled from the kitchen. "Is that you?"

We walked into the kitchen to, who i assumed was her mother was standing over the stove with five different pans each cooking something different. Her hair was a bright pink and down to her shoulders, she was wearing a apron over a t-shirt and skinny jeans. She turned around with a spatula in and. She was smiling and her face was kind. Her eyes were hazel just like Maddie's.

"Madeline" i asked looking at Maddie.

"It's my birth name."

"So your the one keeping my daughter over night." her mother said. "I was hoping to meet you, i hope yall haven't eaten."

"Oh we-"

"Madeline," i said smirking. "Speak for yourself, i have been in a coma and the only thing i had to eat was trash, half a pizza ain't gonna get me full. Where do i sit."

Her mother had cooked just for the chance that she would meet me. She had made a full course, of a mixture of breakfast lunch and dinner. Bacon, pulled pork sandwiches, and to top it off, Gumbo.

I filled my plate up and started devouring everything.

"Thankyou." i said between mouthfuls."

"It is Madeline's favorite when she comes home to the hospital. So i thought a long as it's not from a hospital you'd like it."

I smiled at how nice this woman was. 

"Her other mother is working late and won't be home until almost mid-night, but after school tomorrow you can come over and meet her."

"Moon doesn't go to school."

I stopped eating. "Actually i don't know, i never finished high school because of the coma."
