I walked back to class not caring I got a late slip. It wouldn't hurt and the teachers don't question it mostly because I am sick. I walked to the back where I usually sat, I didn't have moon in this class, it was our foreign language period, i had Russian, she had French, she already had one credit for it so she needed to continue it to be able to get the second one.

I had already learned all this, it was just review, i reached into my bag and pulled out my sketchbook and started drawing, i didn't really know what, but by the time class was dismissed i started to notice it was a moon with a wolf howling to it.

I got my stuff and walked out, i had one more class, science, and unfortunately dissection, which i only had to look in on. I don't have to do it because everyone thinks it could be a risk to my health. I noticed that Moon was also in the back with me.

She smiled that beautiful smile. "I thought you ditched me."

I shook my head. "No, i got separated in the crowd."

"They don't want me doing this, they think it could be a serious issue to my health."

The teacher came to the back and handed us some worksheets to fill out while everyone was working with the dead animals.

Once school was over me and Moon dropped our stuff off, we walked to the parking lot hand in hand. I reached into my pocket grabbing my keys and lead her to my truck.

"Wait i thought you were fifteen."

"Legal age to get your license was changed to fifteen." i said letting her get in and following her.

I shut the door putting my seat belt on. I put the key in listening to the gentle hum of the engine. I pulled out of the parking lot.

"Where do you wanna go?" i asked her taking one hand off the wheel and putting it in hers.

"The lake, no matter what season it is, it is always beautiful at sunset." i nodded and made my way there.

Once we go there it was about five minutes to sunset. I turned the engine off and got out, still holding her hand. we sat at the edge of the lake in a grassy spot. She brought herself closer to me snuggling up at my side, i put my arm around her pulling her closer to me.

She was right. The sunset was beautiful.

I looked down at her, i could see a tear rolling down her face. She was smiling.
"What's wrong?" i asked brushing her tear away with my thumb.

"Everything changed, i missed seeing all that change, but the sunset it the one thing that hasn't changed, this spot hasn't changed, when my parents did let me go outside I'd always want to go to the lake, and every time they brought me here i would run up to this spot, and wait until the sun set, my parents were worried for me, but at the time they thought i would die, so they let me. And the sun set is the one thing that has never changed."

I looked down at her, i had never thought about what it would be like to be in her shoes, waking up to a strange world, not knowing where you are or what happened, having everything you were so use to be changed all in what seems like a second.

She looked up at me. God she was beautiful. She leaned in and i knew exactly what she was thinking. She brought her lips on mine, and i kissed her back. With one hand supporting us on the ground and the other around her waist pulling her close to me we didn't stop. She wrapped her arms around my neck pulling me closer to her. I could feel her chest rise and fall against mine. I could feel her breath, and slowly it started to feel like it was crackling. I pulled away leaning back a bit.

She had an upset look in her eyes.  I smiled and stood up picking her up like a princess.

"You need your dose." i said bringing her to the car.

"But we barley got anywhere." she said pouting.

I smiled opening the door setting her inside. She reached into her bag grabbing the syringe and injecting it into her arm.

"It is late, i need to get you home. Maybe another night."

She cuddled up next to me as i started driving. I wrapped my arm around her giving her my warmth.
