We rush to spawn.

When we come out of the portal, Vikk's there. Lying on the floor, a puddle of blood surrounding him. He lets out a pained grunt before he flickers and disappears again, before respawning.

"Vikk!" Lachlan drops to his knees beside him.

Vikk manages to look at him, through agonised eyes. "Gudjon..... said..... there's a cure."

"Do you know it?" Lachlan asks.

Vikk weakly shakes his head before he dies again.

"Something to reverse the effects of a poison potion," Preston murmurs. "Regen potion?"

"I'll go grab one from my house," Ali offers, hastily untying his horse and mounting it. "My house is the closest."

He takes off before anyone can answer and my eyes go back to Vikk. His hands are clutching at his stomach, right where Gudjondaniel stabbed him, but I know that's not the only place that's injured.

"Can we look at some of his other injuries while we're waiting?" I ask.

Rob nods and moves towards Vikk. He bandages his arm but leaves his leg before cutting away Vikk's top. I wince at the wounds and look away as Vikk dies again.

"Got it!"

Ali arrives on his horse and jumps off before it even stops. He offers the potion to Rob who puts it to Vikk's lips and tips it.

Rob pulls the potion back, three quarters full and looks at Vikk anxiously. Vikk flickers and disappears.

"It's not working," Rob says impatiently.

"Wait," Lachlan says. "Gudjon imbued his sword with poison. Why don't we try that? We need to get him to stop bleeding out. Rob, why don't you dunk some stitches and bandages in the potion and try stitching him up."

"He needs to be alive for long enough to do stitches," Rob replies. "We need to keep him stable for that long."

"How?" Jerome asks.

"Anyone got a god apple?" Rob asks.

There's a long silence and I find my voice. "What's a god apple?"

"It's a healing apple," Mitch answers. "Made from solid gold blocks and an apple. It makes anyone practically invincible for a certain amount of time. But Rob, do you think it'll-"

"No," Rob answers. "If a healing potion can't close the wound, a god apple can't. And nothing can get rid of the poison either until it naturally leaves his bloodstream. But god apples aren't used to heal, they're used to keep you alive in the first place. To absorb damage. I'm hoping it can keep Vikk stable for long enough for me to stitch him up."

"I've got one," Lachlan says, already standing up. "I'll get it. Get the other stuff ready."

Lachlan hesitates before moving over to Vikk's horse, Blackjack, I think it is. He slowly unties him and cautiously mounts him. He urges Blackjack to move forward and he takes off.

Rob lets out a low whistle. "Blackjack never lets anyone but Vikk on him alone."

I glance at him, raising my eyebrows. "Really?"

Jerome nods. "Vikk's got a mean horse."

Rob sets about readying the string and bandages.

"What happened to Gudjondaniel?" JJ asks.

Preston glances at his watch. "He's gone. Not on the server."

I watch as Vikk reappears, still clutching at his stomach. His long agonized groans reach my ears and I wince.
