Today we had the options of Risk, GTA V, FIFA, Minecraft and Rocket League.Out of everyone in my lobby, I am the only one doing Minecraft.
Mitch, Jerome, Preston and Tobi are playing Risk. Lachlan, Rob and Jon, another friend, are playing Rocket League against Simon, Josh and Ethan. JJ and Harry are doing some FIFA challenge that meant something to the rest of the Sidemen when brought up.
I smile down at the lagoon from the top of my home. The sun will soon be rising.
On the server right now are myself, Nooch, Choco, Pete, Ryan and Ali.
It's peaceful.
I quietly make my way downstairs and into my underground levels. I make my way into the stables from there and mount Blackjack. I take him carefully out of the stables and set off towards myself and Ali's usual spot.
It's so quiet and peaceful, I don't want to ruin that with tending to my villagers or something.
When I reach there, I tie Blackjack down and nimbly climb up the tree. The sun starts rising and I watch on contently.
Everything's good right now. I mean, Simon and I aren't talking, but it's nice to have only that as a small problem.
Since the Sidemen joined the Pack lobby, the subscribers have been increasing at a much higher rate. We've already overcome 6 million subscribers.
The sound of hooves comes to my ears and not too long after, Ali settles beside me without a word. When the sun has risen and the sound of mobs does down, Ali speaks.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah," I smile, not looking away from the fading streaks of orange and pink. "I just like it out here. It's actually so beautiful. It's peaceful."
"So, what are your plans for today?" Ali prompts me after a few minutes.
I shrug. "Nothing in particular. I just want to enjoy the peace. It feels like everything's just suddenly slowed down and I'm enjoying it."
"I'm with you, man."
I smile contently and we sit in silence for a long time. It's only interrupted when my watch burns suddenly.
I groan. "What do the others want now? Bet you Nooch blew himself up again or something."
Ali grins as he checks his watch, but he immediately pales. "Oh my God."
"What?" I ask curiously.
I open up the log on my watch. When I read the latest message, my heart drops into my stomach. Four fucking words that send me spiraling out of control.
Gudjondaniel joined the game.
I freeze up and I swear to God my heart stops for a few seconds. Flashes of memories I'd just gotten over go through my head.
You didn't really think you'd escape, did you?
I slide out of the tree and take a few wavy steps towards Blackjack. Ali catches me when I collapse to the ground. Tears silently fall down my face and I stare numbly behind Ali as he pulls me into a hug.
"He's back," I whisper, my voice carrying on the breeze.
I stay there silently as Ali pulls back to examine my face. "Vikk?"
My watch burns again and I lift my arm to look at it.
Gudjondaniel: Hello Vikk. Miss me?
