Gudjondaniel frowns. "Are you sure, Vikk? It doesn't sound like a good idea.""I know," I sigh out. "But I want to try. I think I'm ready to try. I want to be able to play it normally with the Sidemen."
"Okay," Daniel says hesitantly. "But I don't think I should be the killer. Who else is playing with us?"
"Lachlan, Rob and Preston," I supply. "Rob wants to go killer, anyway."
"Do you want to invite them to the call now?" Gudjon asks unsurely.
"I'll do it now," I say, inviting them. "Don't worry. They're the Pack, not the Sidemen. You know which group are the dickheads."
Gudjon nods as they join. They're thankfully civil and greet Gudjon the same way they do me.
"Do you prefer Gudjon or Daniel?" Rob asks.
Gudjon shrugs. "Either. I'm more accustomed to hearing 'Gudjon' nowadays."
I smile as that had been worrying me too. I'm accustomed to calling him Gudjon, myself.
"Okay," I say, loading up Dead By Daylight calmly and inviting them to the game. "Join up."
"Are you sure about this?" Lachlan asks as he joins.
"It's not too late to back out," Preston agrees. "Try another day."
"I'm certain," I say firmly. "I won't get a better time than this. The Sidemen are all out recording football videos."
"And you didn't join them?" Rob jokes. "But you're the best there."
"Shut the fuck up, bro," I reply, starting the game.
I spawn in a dark forest and take a deep breath.
"You're all screwed," Rob informs us.
"You okay, Vikk?" Gudjon asks quietly.
"I'm all good," I answer, moving my character towards a generator.
I start on the generator and pay attention to the skill checks.
"Nobody warned me about the skill checks!" Preston suddenly protests.
"Just hit spacebar when it's on the bar," I tell Preston. "If you get it wrong, you'll get set back."
"Who's this over here?" Rob asks.
"No one," Lachlan replies quickly.
"Gotcha!" Rob shouts and it shows that Lachlan's been hit.
"Which killer is he, Lachlan?" I ask, nearly messing up a skill check.
"I don't know, I don't play this game," Lachlan replies, annoyed. "He's the big guy with the axe."
"I'm pretty sure that's all of them." I laugh. "Minus the nurse and Mike."
"Where the fuck did he go?" Lachlan asks. "He just disappeared. Oh fuck."
Lachlan swears as he goes down.
"He can go invisible," I explain. "But you can still sorta see him. If you hear bells, that means he's going in or out of invisi-mode."
"That would've nice to know earlier," Lachlan says irritably.
I finish the generator and quickly move towards where Lachlan was just hooked. "I'm on a generator now. Anyone else?"
"What about me?!" Lachlan protests.
"Shut up," I tell him.
I swiftly pull him off the hook and lead him away. "It's all good, though. It was all a bait."
