Fair warning: from here on out it may be kinda dark.

I awaken with a jerk as someone shakes me roughly.Lachlan hovers over me. "Vikk, are you okay?"
"Yeah," I say hoarsely. "What happened?"
"You were having a nightmare," Lachlan says worriedly. "Do you remember it at all?"
With his words, every detail comes back to me.
"No," I lie easily, thinking about the dream.
I was back in Dead By Daylight. I was still on the hook and Gudjon was there, taunting me. He used the same words he did when I was actually there.
Weak little Vikk.
"You kept shaking and crying out in pain," Lachlan informs me anxiously. "It was really bad."
The Sidemen don't want you.
"I'm fine," I say easily. "Did I wake anyone?"
Lachlan shakes his head. "Just me."
"It's nothing Lachlan," I say, noting his anxious look. "I actually have nightmares quite often. It drives the Sidemen crazy."
Should it worry me how easy I find it to lie to my best friend's face?
"Okay," Lachlan says, his anxious look relaxing slightly.
The Pack only took you in out of pity.
"What time is it?" I ask.
Lachlan checks his watch. "6:50."
We start the games at 7:30.
"Okay," I say. "I'm staying up. You?"
"Same," Lachlan agrees, eying me cautiously.
I sit up and groan at the pain exploding in my back. I close my eyes tightly and a slight whimper escapes me as I wait for the pain to pass.
Lachlan's arm goes around me instantly and he rubs my shoulders soothingly. "You're alright. It'll pass in a moment."
I take shallow, quick breaths until the pain completely passes and then I relax.
"Help me up," I whisper to Lachlan.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Lachlan starts. "If it hurt you that much to sit up-"
"I need to use the bathroom," I insist. "I'll replace my bandages too."
Lachlan helps me stand up and pain racks my body immediately. My injured leg gives out and I would've collapsed if Lachlan hadn't been supporting me.
I don't try to support myself, instead letting the waves of agony roll over me.
Eventually, I am able to support myself somewhat and Lachlan helps me to the bathroom. He leaves me at the door and I close and lock it behind me.
I quickly do my business before taking the medical kit from under the sink. I carefully peel away the bandage on my neck. It is soaked with blood, but thankfully my neck seems to have stopped gushing blood.
You should've died.
I wipe away the blood surrounding the cut, but leave the dried blood directly on it before replacing the bandage.
I then carefully unwrap my wrist. I wipe away the surrounding blood and stare at the angry red lines.
WORTHLESS.
And then I can hear Gudjon's voice again.
You're worthless. Completely useless. A waste of space.
